Tonight is this little cricket’s last night with us and then all the babies will be with their new families. We really enjoyed having the litter in the winter and will continue on with this time frame. So, we will be back around the same time in 2024 with Aoife and Ailill’s final litter. (Their daughter should receive her CHIC number this year and her first litter with a too-be-determined male will be planned for 2025.)

The babies received their microchips and did quite well. They are very healthy, growing nicely, and the vet was quite impressed with their temperaments! 🥰

The puppies are spending their days in the living room to get acclimated to daily noises and to spend time with the adult dogs and the cats. They are eating moistened Fromm Puppy food, and nursing less and less every day.

Their Reunite microchips arrived as did their collars and blankets. The blankets are being cleaned and then will go in their night kennel to collect their scent. The microchips come with the service prepaid and I put their families’ information in before they go home.

While they do have a case of “bedhead” going on right now, they are receiving regular brushings at this point, including their tiny faces.

Hanging out with the puppies before bed. Today was a big day for them. They received their first bath and met Morgan’s family!

The appointment went very well today! They are all growing wonderfully and are very healthy. Their insides sound good, limbs move well on examination, ears and eyes are clear, skin and coat are healthy, mouths look good and their teeth are coming in nicely. The vet was also very pleased with how well socialized they are already. They were calm throughout their exams and enjoyed meeting new people. 🥰

The babies did amazing on their first outing without mom. So far, they handled the car ride much better than any of the others. No panting or crying; they slept the whole way down, woke up when we arrived, and are now back to sleep. 💗

The food is being thickened up and slowly they will begin to get soggy kibble instead of canned food.

Some mid-milking pictures. Some have some tiny food crumbs on their faces, others have some milk shaping their hairdoes. They are gifted with the ability to get their food everywhere at this age. 😂

The puppies are being brushed and faces cleaned regularly, though, to get them used to a lifetime of brushing and face washing. Their faces are really tiny so a use a little spooly brush for that task. They are too young for a bath (they cannot fully regulate their body temperature yet) but they are getting little washcloth baths.

The puppies are five weeks old! They are eating well and doing really well with kennel training. Four more weeks and they head home to their families!

The babies receive two mush meals a day along with mom’s milk. They are growing quickly and their coordination is improving every day.

The puppies are ready for solid(ish) food more than once a day, so posting the video early. 😁

The puppies were started on a mush using Origen canned puppy food. Their feeding was a success! They love solid(ish) food! Mom is happy to have the supplement as well.

I thought I posted this last night but it doesn’t appear it went through. The puppies are really playful now and ready to move into their bigger playpen with a kennel to sleep in!

They have also started rolling over to get belly rubs. 🥰

Big sis looking absolutely adorable with her new hairdo. I love receiving pictures of the older babies. 🥰

Ms. Dazie was our white and champagne lady from last year’s litter. She has a small champagne mask around her eyes as well as champagne ears and some on her body as well. It is always neat to watch the color become more defined in the ”snowballs”.

The babies are across the hall from my office, but I watch them on a monitor so I can see them clearly in their box and make sure they are okay throughout the work day. They started walking around on the monitor, so I hopped up to film them, and they stopped! 🤣 Fortunately, they associate our voices with petting already so they began to walk around to head towards my voice. 🥰

The puppies are two weeks old and started opening their eyes! They should be wide open in the next couple days. They are also beginning to push up into a walk position more, so they will be walking any time now. Playful, wobbly puppy videos should be coming in the next week or so!
