šØFoster NeededšØ Can you help? The Duke is having surgery soon and we are looking for a foster home where he can recover comfortably. The shelter can add extra stress for pets post-surgery and being in a home would allow The Duke to decompress and relax as much as possible. The foster would need to be able to take The Duke to and from his consult appointment on April 27th. His surgery will be scheduled within a week after his consult, and the foster would need to take him to and from that appointment as well. RAL will cover all medical costs and provide any and all supplies. Youāll just provide the space, time, and love. If you are interested in giving The Duke a temporary home to aid in his recovery, please keep reading for additional information.
Foster home preferences:
š¾ Ground-level living. Due to limited leg mobility, stairs will not be ideal for this boy post-surgery. He'll need easy access to get outside for short walks & to go to the bathroom. Bonus if you have a backyard.
š¾ No other pets, please
š¾ No kids or a home with older kids who understand boundaries would be best. Though The Duke is super sweet and loves people, he does like his own space and prefers you let him come to you.
Overall, The Duke is such a good boy. He's been an amazing office dog at RAL and simply likes hanging out with his human friends while enjoying his favorite treats or toys. He's about 4-years-old and weighs 65 pounds. The Duke is very food motivated and already knows a couple commands. We absolutely love him at RAL and we just know you'll love him too!
