6' Rotary arena drag, 3 point hitch in great usable condition

6 freeze resistant livestock sun tanks. Solar heated bottoms prevent freezing and have a float on top to keep water clean and free of debris. All but one are in great shape, one has cracked front plexiglass. Perfect for keeping water out where you don't have electricity during the winter months.

Do you have an old plastic water trough that is cracked or leaks sitting around? We'd love to have it!

We turn them into hay feeding stations for our pastures and would love to find a few more that need a new purpose in life. Please message us if you'd like to donate one!

*Rubber/plastic troughs only please, no metal, any size is fine

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to those in the surrounding area affected by last night's tornadoes. We are fortunate to have missed any major damages, all of our animals and property were safe but there are many in the region for which that is not the case.

If you have horses or livestock and need a temporary place to house your animals due to storm damage, we have a few stalls available and could accommodate you.

Please message us if you are in need!

Tonight was our last co-op meeting for the fall semester. Students in the 109 course presented their educational posters while everyone enjoyed pizza, a hot cocoa bar, and cuddles with visiting goat babies!

Congratulations to all of our students on a successful semester!

Calling all barn alumni!
After the success we had homecoming weekend, we would like to invite barn alumni to join our FOES (Friends of Earlham College) weekend (Nov. 4th) We will be doing a pizza lunch at the barn with the FOES, barn staff and co-op members at 12, and then a business meeting from 2-4 in the Richmond Room (on Earlham’s campus). If you are unable to make it in person we would love to have you zoom into the business meeting. Attached to this is a google form where you can put if you’d like to attend either of these events. We’d love to see you all there!

We want to give a huge "THANK YOU!" to all of our friends and alumni who donated show clothing to outfit our IHSA team!

Many of our riders will be attending their very first show this weekend and it wouldn't be possible without your support! Don't they look great?!

📣 Calling all alumni and local horse friends 📣

Do you have show clothing or show-friendly schooling clothes that you no longer use or need? The Earlham IHSA team would love to give your unused show clothing a new purpose by supplying show clothes to our incoming riders in need!

We have many new faces on our IHSA team this year, most of whom have never shown horses before. As you all know, it's an expensive sport which can prohibit many people from participating. Earlham's generous community allows our team members to show for free, but show clothing can be another expensive starting investment. Our goal is to build out a 'borrowing closet' of show clothes for our riders to have for years to come.

Can you help?
We will happily accept donations of the following:
🔹 Dark colored hunt seat jackets
🔹 Tan breeches
🔹 White or light colored collared hunt shirts
🔹 Black riding gloves, nylon or leather
🔹 Black show helmets
🔹 Black tall hunt show boots
🔹 Men's ties

If you'd like to donate items, they can be dropped off to the Suzanne Hoerner Jackson Equestrian Center anytime or if you'd like to make other arrangements please message the page or text 937.570.0396

We appreciate the support of our community!

As many of our barn friends and supporters know we recently lost our previous outdoor arena to make room for the new softball stadium at Earlham. While this was not the ideal choice of anyone here at the equestrian center, we have chosen to make lemonade out of lemons in this situation 🍋

One of the glasses of lemonade we get to enjoy out of this is the chance to repurpose the old arena base into new all-weather pads at the front of each pasture. This means no mud during the rainy season for our horses, and a dry area for their hooves to take a break from dew-ey grass. It looks amazing!

We are grateful to Jarrett Trucking for doing all the excavating and rock work for our laneway, dry lots, and new arena!

If you've been by the stables lately, you've probably noticed a lot of activity. It has been a busy summer in the barn completing projects while the students are gone!

A few of those projects were completed this past week including haying our alfalfa field and relocating the manure pile so we now have a lovely all-weather laneway to our pastures. Construction has also begun on replacing our pasture water spigots (we have fresh water access in each pasture, did you know?) and installing all-weather pads in the front of our fields.

There's even more updates to come, stay tuned! 🚧

It’s been a long time (if ever?!) since we’ve had little ones running around the barn! A local nonprofit, Girls Inc, is visiting twice this summer with groups of girls from the community coming to learn about the healing powers of horses. We’re so excited to have them!
