THIS WILL BE WORTH THE READ!! I HOPE🙃
Hi, my name is Katarina, most people call me Katie!
I’m a dog groomer, obviously!! I’ve even dipped my feet in the cat world a few times and I can shave a goat like a pro!!
I’ve realized or at least it was brought to my attention that people want to know more about me and I’m not really sure what to add to my discription but this is what I got. I am born and raised in Fremont Country. My family has lived north of Riverton for 25 plus years. We own a small farm where we raise cattle, sheep, and all the barn critters. I am married to an incredible man and we have two beautiful children, a boy and a girl. Growing up I was an active member of 4H and FFA. I have always had a love for animals and a passion for what I’m doing today. I started grooming my moms cocker spaniel on our bathroom floor when I was really young, it was quite the job and I’m sorry dad for messing up your hair clippers! My life course has changed a lot over the years. I’ve worked a lot of different hats but it wasn’t until I started bathing dogs for Loretta that I actually found something that gave me really joy. I had the honor of traveling beside her on countless road trips to dog shows that really opened my eyes to the dog grooming world. I spent 5 years learning the ins and outs of the trade. I really did start at the bottom I learned all about bathing a dog and how the shampoos and conditioners affect each coat and the importance of a dry dog. Enough a**l gland expressions to last a life time!! Slowly working my way to the clipper cart where I practice using scissors on Hallie and Cody(Loretta’s poodles) for hours. To finally learning how to finish a good groom. We worked with some very difficult dogs that are now some of the best dogs to groom. I owe so much of what I am today to Loretta.
Suddenly my mom was injured in a very serious horse accident, and I was 7 months pregnant with my daughter. I stepped out of the dog world and into farm life where I have been raising my children the last couple years. Now I am back at the dog grooming table and I love it even more and more.
I too have three dogs, Carlie, Cassie, and Terk. I promise that my dogs have looked worse then your dogs at some point in time, this is a judgment free zone.
With all the help from my mentor and willing people I have been able to accomplish what I have. I will always side with the dog, even if that means I lose.
I’m still learning every day. Every client is different and everyone’s lifestyle is equally different. I look forward to continuing to grow in knowledge and skill. I am so very grateful for all the support and I hope to be able to help you and your paw friends!!
Okay well that’s it, Thank you!
