Keep Your Pets Safe This 4th Of July!!!

Fireworks are beautiful & patriotic but can cause a LOT of panic & anxiety for pets who don't understand the loud bangs!

Please brings your pets inside BEFORE the fireworks begin - Provide a safe & quiet space for them to retreat too. Make sure they are wearing an up to date ID tag! If you have firework-phobic dog(s), you can prepare for the evening by stuffing Kongs with all sorts of deliciousness, having interactive toys, calming treats & sprays, melatonin, lavender, play calming background music or watch some tv, maybe even keep a fan turned on to help drown out the noise & keep a thunder shirt at the ready to help anxious pups keep calm (I included a picture with step-by-step instructions on how you can make your own thunder shirt or anxiety wrap for anxious pups!).

(Composure is a calming treat that contains Thiamine and L-Theanine. And the little vial is a product called "Sleepytime Tonic," which is more of an herbal calming supplement.

We change what we put in the kongs every time, but today there's a little kibble to plug the bottom, then layers of canned food, plain yogurt, pumpkin, a few pieces of chicken jerky, some dehydrated raw treats, & then it's all plugged up with a little more canned food. If you use yogurt we recommend plain Greek yogurt, peanut butter is great but make sure there is no Xylitol! You can freeze a few for the bigger, more aggressive chewers & just refrigerate the rest for the littles & the seniors.

The melatonin dosage is based on their age/size/health. You'd want to check with your vet for a dose that's appropriate for your pup. 😊 )

The daycare is based out of my home; where your little doggie will be pampered & loved as a member of our family! I keep the limit of dogs we board & have over for daycare at 5 or less so that your pooch will receive all the love & attention it needs & deserves. We have a fully fenced yard, several puppy play pens & lots of toys & treats!

Puppy Love Daycare provides the following: ⦁ A comfy pet bed & soft blanket (All dogs sleep in my kitchen/ laundry room or in a crate by my bed.) ⦁ Fresh water is always available! (Food can be provided by the Daycare for a small fee a day.) ⦁ Supervised & structured indoor/ outdoor playtime. (Access to a large fully-fenced play yard, interactive toys & socialization with other dogs, people, & children.) ⦁ Walks or Runs (Depending on the dogs energy level & age) ⦁ Daycare is happy to text pictures of your dog upon request. ⦁ Lots of love, snuggles & treats!

​We are certified in pet CPR & 1st Aid Care

I have over 14 years of experience interacting, caring & working with many different cat & dog breeds. From pet sitting, to dog walking, to shelter volunteer & fostering. I have raised several litters of puppies & currently own 3 Shetland Sheepdogs (lovingly referred to as "shelties"). I am certified in pet 1st aid, CPR & keep an emergency 1st aid kit on hand. I try to keep a clean, fun, family environment; where your pet does not have to be locked in a cement kennel all day! I love learning about canine behavior, pet health, breed characteristics & positive training techniques & I plan to continue learning!
