Every third Monday our ZPS leadership team meets over lunch, which includes Zach, Jenna, our managers and shift leads. We meet to discuss the past month and things we feel we excelled in, and things we feel that we could improve. We also collaborate on what the next month will look like at ZPS, and how things can improve, to provide the best care for the pets at our facility.
Today, Jenna had us do a team building exercise at the end of the meeting, where we wrote down the qualities that we liked about each one of these people on our team, including ourselves. In addition, we also wrote down one thing that we feel we could work on, or improve. We then went around the room and read aloud what we wrote down, which allowed all of us to hear the kind words from our coworkers. Some of us may have never heard some of the things that we heard, if it weren’t for this opportunity and it was a very touching time for us all!
Life can be hard, we can have ups and downs, both at home and at work. It’s nice to know that you care and you matter, and this was a fantastic way to show each other how much we love and care about each other! This group of people are fantastic leaders and I am so incredibly proud of each and every one of them. They all do an impeccable job caring for your pets and also looking out for their coworkers! I am proud of this team! Thank you, Jenna for bringing many of us out of our comfort zone today! ❤️🫶🏼🐾
