Grab your tissues... We have an unbelievable story for you! A happy family reunion, long time in the making! Stray Huskies are a regular picked up by our animal control department. However, this Husky that was picked up that day had a registered microchip implanted. Our AC Director called the microchip company to obtain the owner’s information. The following phone call is unforgettable. When the owner was notified of his dog's impoundment, there was nothing but astonishment in his voice. He asked multiple times if she was okay. We now understand his reaction and concern for her health. Karlie had been missing for 3 years! Lost from their home in Corpus Christi, Texas. The family, now living out of town, did not hesitate to travel to Robstown, Texas the next day to pick her up! This TikTok made by her family is testament to her amazing story! We hope that every pet owner sees the importance of microchipping their pets! For all lost microchipped pets, hopefully you will one day share a similar story to Karlie's! ❤️ 🐶
