Teamwork makes the dream work!
A big thank you to Kyle, Oscar, and Lee, as well as our friends Cody and Amanda, Sam and Kasen, and Angie and pony club for watching Callie this morning and getting food picked up so we could get trusses set on our hay shed addition! Hoping to get this building enclosed in time to finish our last hay field of the year and not have to put bundles in the indoor arena like we did last year! It takes a village, so thankful for the people who step up for us!

Thankful for the rain we got Tuesday! I got both outdoor arenas drug today and pulled the sand away from the rail so the darn puddle in the corner will drain. It will be lovely to ride in tonight 👌💧🤩
Horse math:
When you have a 3 acre pasture but you need to stand next to a horse you don't like so he can try and bite you.
🙈🙈🙈
We have had to be a little more flexible and resourceful this hay season compared to some others. It has been nice to slow down and enjoy the process a little more though. Hope you enjoy this video I made from our last field we baled 🩷🩷🩷
We need to do this again and see which horses like Popsicles! It's definitely a popsicle kind of week! 🍭🍭🍭
Another day another hay field!

Elizabeth Robinett doing the Lords work this morning 🤣🤣🤣 thanks for the video and for all of your help in the barn while we put up hay today!
Happy Monday, friends!
Us girls are getting our work done picking shavings up this morning! Now it's time for second breakfast before we head home. Dad is cleaning out the horse trailer so we can go on a little vacation this week!
Remember that time when my truck rolled across the parking lot and down thru the outdoor arena fence!!?? 🤣 Always something interesting going on at the funny farm!
A special thank you to the ladies with Two Rivers Vaulting club for coming out yesterday and doing a wonderful demo and interactive clinic to wrap up Pony Club camp!
You might be a redneck if you can bottle feed a baby while making square bales 🤣🤣🤣
Anyone know Jeff Foxworthy? I might have some good content for him if he wants to do a hay field set in his next show.
A little damage from the 15 minute wind storm last night won't stop us from getting our work done today! We cut the cross country field at home and are on to the next field at the neighbors now. Love that we do this life together even when it is tough. Callie is the best supervisor today, she will be running the equipment before we know it!
Happy is the goodest boy 💙🦄✨️
I am absolutely convinced there is a special place in heaven for lesson horses.
Well this would be quite the way to desensitize horses for show season!
🤣🤣🤣
The last part of our parking lot renovation is finally done! We removed the old round pen that has been on the north end of the parking lot and relocated it to this space on the east end of the indoor arena, or "upstairs" from our outdoor dressage ring.
It was hard to see the old training pen go, but it needed more work than was worth putting into it. We kept the good lumber and put what we could into some of these new panels. I know we could have used all new wood, but I love the visual of being reminded how far we've come and remembering all of the work that other people put into this place before we got here.
I think this will be a lot better use of this open space, I sure can't wait to watch the kids practice their jumping ❤️
New farm helper is sleeping on the job. We will have to talk about that on her 30 day review on Friday. 🤣🤣🤣
Eric Carman outside doing the Lords work today! Can't wait to show you the before and afters once the last load of rock gets delivered and spread out next week!
Getting closer to the big reveal! We took a little break last week to try and get our newborn schedule set up, and are back at it around the farm this week before we host Shaggy Horse Show 2024 for a fundraiser for Cornhusker Pony Club on May 4!
Thanks to our beloved Gigi, Diana Godwin Teinert for watching Callie so I could help Eric Carman get these posts set. He also made some custom latches for the gates while the welder was down here too.
Teamwork makes the dream work 💜 ✨️ 💪
I think I've got the best view right now.
