Help us to create our next horse camp option: Adult Horse Camp!!! Filling out the form doesn't sign you up for anything. It just helps us to determine what people are most interested in.

Filling out this form does not register you for any camp nor does it commit you to any future camps. This is only for information purposes to help us to create the best possible horse camp for adults!

600 days… That’s how long it’s been since I brought Oona home. To many she would seem like an easy project. She wasn’t sick or underweight. She didn’t trust people and she wasn’t even confident in herself. The reality of buying a project is that you never know what you’re coming home with.
After working with Oona so that I could catch her and put a halter on her she was more or less allowed to be a horse. She had to put on her halter to go out and to come back in. She had to learn to stand for the vet and farrier and even that was with drugs for a long time. Now she is confident enough to not only be groomed and get her feet done like a big kid (without sedation), but she can get through a lesson without freaking out about something, and knows she can take her time and think through a problem before reacting. She also recently discovered that she can lunge in the arena off vocal cues without questioning if she’s doing it right, and even that someone can jump on her without the world ending. She still has a long journey ahead of her, but we’re proud of how far she has come. ❤️

When Erin first started coming to us she started with doing groundwork and beginning riding with PD. She was a beginner and nervous around horses. Now that we’ve been working together for over a year she got a chance to ride PD again and this time she got to really enjoy his buttons and speed. It was so fun to see the progression.

Hickory has slowly been making her way into the lesson program. The attention and the spring grass have given her a bit too much pep for some of the more timid students but she’s doing amazing with teaching some of the others how to trot and canter on a new horse. 🩷

Last week A and Dagda were practicing cantering and this week she switched to Fritz and they were able to complete several laps at a beautiful canter. When she finished I asked how it felt and she just said “magical” 🧡
