At Free Spirit Hounds, we’ve always prided ourselves on being genuine, transparent, and deeply committed to the family we’ve built with our clients. That’s why it’s disheartening to share something that has weighed on us.
Recently, we received a 1-star Google review from someone we’ve never worked with—someone who, we discovered, lives directly across from our future location. We’ve never met them, yet they chose to publicly discredit us without cause. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first sign of unwelcome sentiment from a few neighbors, and it’s been exhausting to feel we must constantly defend ourselves.
We welcome honest feedback from clients we’ve served, even if it’s critical—that’s how we grow. But targeted negativity from people who have never experienced our services is not only hurtful, it can be damaging to a small, family-run business. Continued defamation or harassment may leave us with no choice but to explore legal options to protect our name and livelihood.
We’re taking steps to have the review removed, as it does not reflect an actual customer experience. To those who have supported us—thank you. Your encouragement keeps us moving forward. If you haven’t yet shared your positive experience on Google, we would be incredibly grateful.
We remain passionate about our work, dedicated to the dogs in our care, and determined to see this dream through. No amount of unwarranted criticism will change that. We can’t wait to open our new doors and celebrate this next chapter with all of you.
