This is what controlled chaos looks like at FSH 😎🐾

Today we had one of our biggest mixes yet — dogs who had never met before, big personalities, and plenty of high-energy players all in the same space. And honestly? It was amazing.

Watching them meet, read each other, and learn how to play together is one of our favorite parts of this job. Moments like these remind us just how much we love what we do and how proud we are of the program we’ve built. ❤️✨

Miss Yuki is here boarding with us this week!

💕 She’s one of our bred-by puppies who stayed local in Brighton and is from our second Kishu Ken litter — she just turned a year old! 🎉

Something that’s really special to us is that all of our puppies are always welcome back to stay, no matter what life brings. We love getting to see them grow up and continue being part of their journey. 🐾 While her family is away for a few days we get to spend some time with this spunky lady and Im loving every second.

We’re also incredibly proud that some owners of this unique and special breed even drive from out of state for us to care for their dogs — a true honor and reflection of the trust within this community. ❤️

For those who don’t know, we breed and support the preservation of several of the Nihon Ken — a subset of native Japanese breeds. Our main focus is the Kishu Ken, but our efforts also include the Shikoku Ken and Japanese Akita Inu. 🇯🇵🐕

❄️ Another snowy day, but that never slows us down! We had tons of fun both indoors and out — and it was an all OG Henrietta crew kind of day (minus Miss Lexi 💕).

It means so much that even with our big move, our Free Spirit Hounds family is still running strong and together. ❤️

The boys Oliver and Winston even got to sneak in some one-on-one work today — and they absolutely rocked it! 👏🐾

When we schedule meet & greets, especially on weekends, we’re setting aside dedicated time just for you. That often means rearranging family plans, farm chores, or personal time to make sure we can give you and your dog our full attention.

All we ask is that if you can’t make it, or if you change your mind, please communicate with us. A quick message or call means the world — it lets us adjust our day and keep things running smoothly for everyone.

We pour our hearts into what we do, and we truly value the time and trust that goes into every client relationship. Thank you for respecting ours in return. 💛
