Two weekends later and I'm ALMOST done with our chicken harvest. 68 chickens which gave us 439 lbs of butchered chickens that I then broke down to make meals for the rest of the year. This freezer is filled to the brim with ONLY chicken meals from this harvest. I canned copious amounts of shredded chicken, Freeze dried two loads of shredded chicken and white chili chicken, made a number of casseroles, and I don't know how many marinades. Sooo much work, but I really do appreciate the convenience the rest of the year when we have all of these meals ready to go with very little additional prep.
