Well Maverick did it again up in savanna at the youth hunt today. We went on 2 tracks, found 1 and had to call off the other track cause got to close to another site. We will be up there again tomorrow all day helping out.

Twenty-seven hunters with disabilities participated in the 17th annual Lost Mound Deer Hunt near Savanna, IL, this past weekend! This special hunt has gained national attention, with hunters representing eight states. The Refuge partners with several sporting organizations to make the hunt a success. The non-profit organization Elite Veteran Outfitters joined our partnership this year and sponsored a disabled veteran from Pingree Grove, Illinois. Down Deer Recovery, a certified United Blood Trackers provider, assisted hunters in recovering wounded deer for a seventh year.

District Manager Ed Britton stated, “It is a unique hunting experience by an extraordinary group of hunters. Their daily challenges of life were dwarfed by the enthusiasm and determination for deer hunting. They provided both inspiration and encouragement to the Refuge staff that administered the hunt.”

Sorry it’s been a long time since I’ve posted anything. Yes I still do track when I can. I’ve been taking this season slow cause I had shoulder surgery this spring and been healing up from that. If u guys need us to track get ahold of me and we’ll see what we can do for u guys.

Well I haven't posted pics of tracking season this year cause iv been busy with work and getting projects done at the house... here are some from last weekend at the disabled hunt and one from my cousin... We had a blast tracking and meeting the hunters and hanging out with hunters from previous years that have become really good friends...
