You may have heard, that we are changing our location. Getting the building ready in Larchwood is coming along quickly. Our tentative date to be open there is October 21st.

That said we are going to be CLOSED Monday Oct. 7th and Tuesday Oct. 8, to focus on the new building.

TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT! Come down to the Courthouse Square in Rock Rapids for a great night. All ages are welcome. Free will donation pork loin sandwich supper begins at 6:00. These guys take the stage at 8:00 with a free will donation concert. Bring your lawn chair and grab a cold drink we are serving from the Rapid Speedway Bar beer garden. All proceeds go to help rebuild the fairgrounds and track after flooding. You will want to say you were there!

We will be open at the office beginning Monday 8-12 and 1-5pm.
We will be taking vaccination appointments and we can see sick pets. We have dog and cat food,meds and vaccine on hand.
Please be patient as we are still doing repairs to our building.

Good Morning
I would like to update you on our available services. I am able to do Puppy checks at the clinic and will finish health papers from home in the evenings. I have Vaccines on had for my kennel clients, but currently they are at my house in larchwood. As soon as we have refrigeration at the clinic I will move them. Please call 712-472-3934 to make arrangements.
If you are in need of vaccination records please be patient. I can only access our QB in the evening so text me at 712-470-0856 for those dates, and also for general questions. When we are working at the office it is loud and I dont always hear my phone. Leave a text or voice mail.

The outpouring of help and support have been wonderful. The last few days are kind of a blur. I can't begin to list all those I want to thank. There were so many people some that I didn't even recognize. They carried sorted, power washed, and all thru mud and muck. They came with words of support, food, water, power tools and knowledge.
We made major progress yesterday. We removed lower 4ft of inside walls in the front rooms. Only the warehouse area is left to do. Then it has to dry.
I am truly blessed!
For now we are closed. We will open as soon as we can get front rooms usable.

Thank you to all who helped yesterday. We made alot of progress cleaning and moving things. We had about 3 feet of water inside the clinic. Our efforts preflood saved alot but the water was actually above the counter tops so many things we thought were safe, were lost. We are not sure how things are going to come together in the next few days. There is a lot of damage to the road next to the clinic. We continue to to ask for your prayers for safety and guidance in making decisions.
As I unloaded my pickup this morning at my house, the sun is shining and the birds were singing sweetly. I know that God has a plan and it is good!

Please Pray for Rock Rapids and all the area residents affected by the flood.
Rock Valley is currently being evacuated.
STAY HOME if you are safe there.
Do not travel unless it is essential!
If you are sight seeing you are probably in the way!

Pray for safety for all.
This is overwelming for everyone.
As for the clinic We Wait... We have no information on the condition of our building. We have seen a few drone picture and are anticipating damage similar to 2014.

UPDATE: She has found a loving Forever Home.

This dog came to an acreage by larchwood. No one has claimed her.
If you are interested in adopting her give us a call at the clinic for more information .

Several people have asked me lately if flea and tick season is almost over...
My answer is NO.
We see an upsurge of infestations at the end of summer and early fall. We suggest that you keep your pets on preventative thru the at least the first hard frost.
If they are being exposed to other pets thru doggie day care, boarding, or dog parks, it is a good idea to keep them on preventative all year long.
