Updates :
We have drastically downsized since December. I primarily kept my seniors and special needs rats, and a handful of my youngest generation rats to carry on lines. Most of my cages were donated to rescue. I'm not //done// but things will happen on a much smaller scale, with less frequency, and my prices will reflect that.
I DID however end up taking in 4 rat harems from another breeder, that was supposed to be temporary, but ended up a permanent arrangement due to their life changes.
With that said, I do have a handful of adult rats and weanlings available from those groups, as them having been in harem groups they had reproduced since having them.
If anyone is interested in them, for pickup only (no delivery) the following is what is CURRENTLY available and ready to leave:
- Beige, top ear, red eye satin coat adult male. Can ONLY leave with the weanling males currently with him, be in a single rat cage, or in a setup with spayed or harem breeding females. He cannot be successfully introduced to ADULT males at all. Age unknown, probably around a year. Name has been "Red". Gets spooked but never bites or screams, just flinches if spooked. Very handleable. Large rat. No fee to the right home. (No photos currently 🤦🏼♀️)
- Blue variegated, top ear, rex coat adult male. BIG boy. Only good with females and non-dominant males. Probably a year old. Name has been "Enzo". Gets spooked but never bites or screams, just flinches if spooked. Very handleable. No fee to the right home.
- 2 Babies : Blue variegated, top ear, rex coat male & dove wedge blaze, top ear, standard coat male. Litter mates, 6 weeks old. Sons of Enzo. Both are still in with Enzo if interested in them as a trio! 10ea or 15together.
- 10 Babies : Blues, minks, some pearl, and a couple blacks. ALL males. Some top ear, some dumbo. Most standard coat but some are rexoid. In theory the rexes are from Enzo, and the non-rex blues and blacks from Red, the pearls and minks are from a mink male. 10ea or less for multiples.
- 4 Babies : agouti variegated top ear, blue top ear, mink dumbo, mink pearl variegated dumbo. ALL females. Agouti is from Red, Blue from Enzo, and the minks from a mink male. 10ea or less for multiples.
All of these guys are very handleable. They are NOT from my rats/lines, but some of my original rats came from the person that left them with me. As parents of babies were in harem setup, I have no idea who the mothers are other than which 3-4 females were in with a given male. I'm very flexible on their adoption fees, I simply want to get them moving on to pet homes.
