Just a reminder that this is a scheduled off week! Classes run in 6/8 week sessions with a week off in between.
Year long schedules can be found on the website equestcenter.org
This session and upcoming sessions can be found in hard copy on the Welcome Center desk, at the bottom of your invoice, and you can always call the phone line at 616-866-3066 and follow the prompts to see if classes are running as scheduled. Unscheduled cancellations are always posted on Facebook in the Equest page and here, phone calls and emails are also sent out to update.

We improve quality of life through equine-based therapy to physically, mentally and socially/emotionally challenged individuals. Our unique program integrates academic, social and physical skills, using the horse as a catalyst.

Parents, Caregivers, and riders. Please be sure to call in to the cancellation line if cancelling a lesson. 616-866-3066 and follow the prompts. Our office manger gets these messages and instructors check the line. It’s so important to know everyone is ok and we also need to plan appropriately for horses and volunteers. You can also call the line to see if classes are running as scheduled.

You’re invited to the 6th annual Rare Disease Day on Saturday, Feb. 22! This free event will bring together people with rare diseases, caregivers and families, medical professionals, researchers, advocates and students to share knowledge and experiences, while encouraging and supporting one another.

The theme for this year’s gathering is Bridging the Gaps. Keynote speakers will discuss how medical care and research around rare disease is evolving and improving and the state of rare disease in Michigan.

Breakout sessions will provide opportunities for attendees to learn more about navigating insurance and finances, recent advances in research, therapy services and rare disease-focused careers.
