We are less than 2 weeks away from Bee Fest 2024!! June is National Pollinator Month, and we are celebrating all of our bees, wasps, moths, butterflies, and more! Come by Cecil T's Mercantile on Broad Street and check out our crafts and activities, live honey bees in the observation hive, Bee Rome t-shirts, products from local beekeepers, a live painting with Renee of Peachie Queen Art , and pollinator-friendly plant demonstrations with Master Gardeners.

But it doesn't stop there! Some of our downtown friends are incorporating pollinators into their sweet treats that day for some extra fun. Honeycream will have a Bee Fest exclusive flavor - lavender honey - that we cannot wait to try. Look for pollinator-shaped cookies at Doug's Deli Downtown. And check out Honeymoon Bakery for their own pollinator-themed cookies. We are thankful they are willing to highlight pollinators with us so make plans to grab a dessert from them!

We rescued a mama and ten puppies last week as an emergency resscue to help keep them safe.

All ten pups have broken with kennel cough and the sickest three now have full blown pneumonia....we had to rush them to the ER where they are all in the oxygen chamber receving Sub Q Fluids and IV Catheter Antibiotics.

We need to start raisng funds for their care - we don't have an estimate yet but anything at the ER is expensive so we'll start off with a goal of $2K and post the estimate as soon as we have it.
