In October at a reptile show in Dandridge Tennessee she bought a tank and sulcata tortoise from East Tennessee Exotics.. two hours later after closing she tried to come back in and return the tortoise because she made a mistake of purchasing it… after the show owners told her all sales are final.. then she reached out to our page and messaged us asking for the same thing… after advising we didn’t really have a return policy bc we have a sign that says all sales final… of course we make exceptions if the animal dies before you even get home and it’s not been months… I’ll attach screenshots of the convo.. I advised her we would take the animal back if she could not care for it..but I wasn’t returning her money.. well on Dec 3rd 1 month and week later she disputed the charge with her bank… which disputed it with square.. I sent all the screenshots square aent the receipt and today we got a response back saying the bank decided in HER favor and gave her the money back…. Now.. let me also explain this in her profile pic she is in the Florida keys on Nov.30 2022 3 days prior to her filing this dispute with her bank… to say I am furious and angry is an understatement right now… if I knew what bank it was I would be making a phone call right now…. This woman wanted to play a pity party on how she was a single mom and made an impulse buy.. ok we all have you deal with it.. you don’t ruin someone else’s day and finances bc you did that…. I just hope she can sleep good at night knowing that she took money from my family to be a greedy hateful person.. also shame on whatever bank it is bc you had more than enough proof to show you she was told from the get go she wasn’t to get a return just bc she made an impulse buy…. Also over 30 days later?? This isn’t a thing bc if I had tried this with my bank it wouldn’t have went in my favor.. I’ve disputed legit fraud charges before and still had to deal with consequences that weren’t even of my actions to begin with… anywho don’t take her money…

Fun times at Show Me Snakes , in Chattanooga..we got to see some friends from a few shows back who got a beautiful Bearded dragon from us , it was awesome to see Renee Harden and her daughter who has done a great job of taking care of this beautiful dragon...Thank you ..We seen lots of return customers and friends..thank you all for your loyalty and support we had a great time...

There has been much discussion lately about the enforcement of the captive wildlife rules and regulations. Rusty Boles is the new man in charge of captive wildlife for TN. As it stands now, here are a few things you may need to know.

There will be no more "on the spot permits" (as we have seen in the past at our expos) for captive born native animals in TN unless TWRA is set up on site to approve them. All permits will need to be applied for prior to taking possession of the animal. All native species must be captive bred from someone that has a TWRA propagation permit.

You can possess certain CAPTIVE BORN (not wild caught) Class II native animals (not all, still exceptions such as skunks and whitetail deer and others) as long as you file for your permit first and you are purchasing from a person that has a TWRA propagation permit with TWRA. The permit will ask who you are purchasing it from. This is assuming you are purchasing from someone located in TN. If you're purchasing from someone that is located in another state there's more that the person would have to do. In short - if the seller does not have permission (importation permit) from TWRA to import the animal you would not be allowed a possession permit from that particular seller.

If you look at a "range map" for a species and their range is in TN, they are native. Also, if they used to be in TN and are now "extinct", they are considered native.

If you are thinking of just removing one from the wild to keep as a pet- DON'T. Just don't

Someone is going around saying this Pet shop is closed , IDK why ...I spoke to the owner yesterday and they assured me they are not closed and wish who ever is spreading that rumor would stop..These are great people and have a awesome shop , been friends with them for years and im telling your their shop is worth visiting , worderful people and wonderful service ...please go check them out and show them some support..
