STILL AVAILABLE: Meet Tyler!!! Poor Tyler has been at our shelter for almost a YEAR and he deserves a family to love him! Tyler would do well in a home with another adult dog that is chill. However, no high-energy siblings, please. He likes to have another dog to give him a boost of confidence. He has been taking walks with other dogs at the shelter, maybe adopt two!!!
Please share, together we can find Tyler the perfect home!!!

So many of you have followed the post of the pointer mix who was brought in to us by animal control on Friday. To be quite honest, he was in such sad shape we weren't sure he would make it. Every bone in his body was protruding, he was infested with fleas and ticks, and he had dried blood from several puncture wounds on his face and neck from the attack of something out in the woods. He was obviously exhausted and about ready to give up. We rolled up our sleeves and got to work. First was a warm bath to get rid of the fleas and ticks and dried blood. Next was an all he could eat banquet of nourishing food. And finally, a soft, fluffy bed to lie down on to rest his weary soul, and antibiotics for his puncture wounds. He mostly slept the rest of Friday and all of Saturday. If a volunteer approached his kennel he would open his eyes and wag his tail and ask for a belly rub. A sweet former adopter of our babies saw his intake picture and donated money to his care and named him Dalton. We are calling him Dalton to thank her for her generosity! Here is a video of him today. He finally got up and made an effort to play with the Treeing Walker in the kennel next to him. Just look at that tail wag!!! Clay and his staff have once again worked their magic!! We are cheering you on to a full recovery, Dalton!
Give Tyler a chance!

He won’t connect on a first visit but definitely worth the time to make him your new best friend!
