Mountain View Family Sheepadoodles

Mountain View Family Sheepadoodles Holistically raised, social and sound pups. Bred for health and temperament. Please read my reviews. Hi there! I'm not your average breeder. (OFA).

I am a small breeder of just one litter of Sheepadoodle pups a year. I love that because I can devote my total attention to that one! I breed specifically for health and temperament and it shows. I have never had a complaint of behavioral or health issue from a puppy parent. You can read the reviews on my page. All the exposure to different scenarios and environmental stimulus really shines throug

h and creates well adapted and stable pups. For a healthier dog in the future my pups are raised as natural and holistically as possible. They're not overvaccinated, over wormed, over medicated with toxins. I am confident pups from Mountain View will live longer, healthier lives. If a pup is given a series a 4, 7 in 1 shots that is a total of 28 different vaccines, usually all before 4 months old! You will receive a pups free of genetic diseases that has been given the best possible start in life. its unconventional to not give toxic shots starting at 6 weeks old but research and science proves its the healthiest and best way. The parents of my pups receive rigorous health testing including DNA that tests for over 190 genetic defects. Their hips, eyes, heart and thyroid are also tested and the results submitted to the Orthapedic Foundation for Animals. All their certificates can be viewed on the OFA website. If healthy, holistically and naturally raised pups, with excellent temperment and lots of environment enrichment and training is what you've been searching for you have found the right breeder. Puppies are sent home with microchip, vet clearance, necessary vaccines and deworming, a blanket with momma and littermates scent, a leash, travel bowls and puppy pads for the ride, toys, 30 days of free pet insurance and a 2 year health guarantee. I'll even throw in their very favorite thing, an empty plastic water bottle. lid and label removed of course :)

Puppies are evaluated and given a puppy aptitude and personality test with proven methods, then they can be matched up and selected to go to the perfect home, to be a service dog candidate or a much loved family pet. Socializing the dog with many situations is the key to a stable dog. I take pride in all the effort put into exposing the pups to many different situations.

This time, our expert panel—including veterinary nutritionists, pet food formulators, and industry professionals—will be diving into the top-selling freeze-dried foods❄️, along with popular canned foods🥫 and toppers🥄 for dogs and cats from brands like Primal, Open Farm, Bixbi, Instinct, Acana, and more.

Whether you use freeze-dried food🧊 as a complete meal, topper, or training treat🦮, we’ll guide you through what to look for to make the best choice for your pet. Make informed decisions and choose the right freeze-dried products with confidence!

Did you know that freeze-dried pet food, toppers and treats can be prone to rancidity, especially once the fats are exposed to oxygen?

Chicken🐓, in particular, has more fragile fats that can spoil quickly. This is something to be aware of, especially if you live in hot or humid climates. Proper storage is key — be sure to keep freeze-dried products tightly sealed in a cool, dry place and consider buying smaller bags to use up chicken-based foods more quickly...before it goes bad.

Join us Live this Sunday at 12pm EST for the third episode of our 2025 Pet Food Review series!

Plus, there’s even more to come! We’ll be reviewing the most popular raw pet food brands in the upcoming weeks. And if you missed it, be sure to check out our previous episode where we reviewed dry food brands — it's all available for you to watch!

“Eggshells are rich in calcium carbonate, about 800 milligrams! And the slippery membrane that lines the inside of the shell is loaded with collagen, elastin, protein, hyaluronic acid, glucosamine, and chondroitin, which provide fantastic joint support. Supplementing with eggshell membranes has even been shown to reduce joint pain by 72.5 percent.” - The Forever Dog LIFE

Eggshell membrane, a natural byproduct of the egg industry, has gained significant attention as a valuable source of bioactive compounds with therapeutic potential. The key proteins in ESM (Eggshell membrane) play a fundamental role in cartilage health (1). While collagens provide tensile strength to the extracellular matrix (ECM) of cartilage, glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) such as chondroitin sulfate and hyaluronic acid (HA) help maintain hydration and elasticity (2).

Furthermore, collagen types I, V, and X, elastin, and various growth factors included in ESM are critical for supporting cartilage repair (3). These properties make ESM an attractive candidate for promoting cartilage repair, especially in degenerative conditions like osteoarthritis (4). Similar to humans, dogs experience osteoarthritis, where chronic inflammation triggers oxidative stress, causing chondrocyte death, cartilage breakdown, and degradation of the ECM, ultimately leading to joint degeneration (5). Eggshell membrane has been shown to decrease pro-inflammatory cytokines and improve joint health in animal models and human studies, making it a popular ingredient in dietary supplements (6).

Pet vaccine antibody titer testing can help determine your pet's immune status and guide personalized vaccination decisions. Dr. Laurie Larson from UW-Madison Immunology Lab explains how titers empower pet owners and veterinarians to protect pets without the risks of over-vaccination.

Are you still boosting your pets every year?💉

Check out my latest interview with immunology professor Dr. Laurie Larson about why antibody titers provide a safer and more scientific approach than automatically giving your pet additional boosters.

Antibody titer testing confirms whether a pet is protected against common infectious diseases without continuing unnecessary (and ineffective) boosters. This science-backed approach challenges the outdated one-size-fits-all schedule that assumes annual or even triennial boosters are needed for every pet. Instead, titer testing provides precise information about whether a pet is still immune, allowing for a more tailored and safer approach to customized wellness medicine.

Why do pets get boosters every year?💉

The ultimate goal of antibody titer testing is to move towards a more personalized approach to pet care—one that respects the individuality of each animal and makes medical decisions based on data, not tradition or medical habits. By utilizing vaccine antibody titers, pet owners can ensure their pets are protected without unnecessary boosters, aligning with the principle of “first, do no harm.”

For anyone who has animals that will be exposed then elements in these bitter cold temps there’s really no excuse when you can build them a shelter in just a couple minutes. You don’t even need plywood, just stack the other bales crossways to make the roof.
If it’s for chickens you can put a stick in between the 1st and second stack of hay to get them up off the ground.

Simple, Easy and Inexpensive to build warm shelter for your dog or dogs.Almost anyone can do it!You need Straw Bales, one 4x4 plywood, and a tarp to protect...

My Mountain View puppies parents had an OFA hip evaluation done at the University of Tennessee Veterinary School and were OFA certified.
How this testing works is that the dogs hips are XRayed and then a panel of 3 OFA certified radiologists evaluate the XRay and rate the dogs hips and certify the hips as Excellent, Good, Fair, Borderline, Mild, Moderate and Severely dysplastic. My parents tested GOOD which is defined as “slightly less than perfect but a well-formed congruent hip joint is visualized. The ball fits well into the socket and good coverage is present”
The school of thought is that hip dysplasia is a combination of genetic, environmental and dietary. But a heavy tendency leaning towards genetic. However there are things you can do to discourage the development of hip dysplacia in an otherwise non genetically predisposed pup.

Here are a couple articles on preventing hip dysplacia in your furry friends. One from a holistic standpoint and the other just general information.

Just remember any food or supplements should not be from Purina.

Hip dysplasia is a common degenerative condition in dogs that occurs when your dog's hip joint does not form properly. A combination of genetics and other factors can cause the soft tissues surrounding the joint to develop abnormally. This...

"The dogs I know have more soul, more heart, more love, more connection, more patience, and more softness than any human I’ve ever met. They don’t ask for anything—no explanations, no justifications. They just stay, steady and sure, as if they’ve always known what you need before you do.

People complicate love. They wrap it in conditions, dress it in expectations. Dive it towards pain and disappointment. A dog doesn’t do that. Their love is raw, honest, and without strings. Without complications. They see you—not the version you show the world, but the one you keep buried. And they love that version most of all.

I’ve met plenty of people, but none have ever matched the soft, gentle loyalty of a dog. They don’t try to fix you; they just sit beside you, whole and true. Through thick and thin. And that’s more than most humans will ever understand."
