Hi guys, it’s me again, Nick. I just wanted to come on here and tell everyone that I’m making great progress, I’m a sweet boy, and I love my new home. But my new moms noticed that my hair is very curly, I drink a lot of water, and a few other things that make them worry I might have a sickness called Cushings. One of my barn friends also has Cushings, his name is Second and he looks like me. Sometimes I prance around my stall when I see him.
Anyway, my new moms need to see for sure if I have Cushing’s so if I do then I can get medicine to make me feel better. But the test is $250. And that’s how much a bunch of hay costs!
I was hoping one or a bunch of you nice people that watch my story could donate to help pay for my test. You can donate through Venmo or call our vet directly to pay for it. His name is Dr. Spragg in Rogersville.

Thanks for reading all this and following along with my rehab. My next milestone is getting my feet done so I can start going outside more!

See you soon!
Love, Nick ♥️

Our mares pasture is in need of a PVC hay bale feeder.

They run around $350 new and that is a few loads of hay during the winter so we need to prioritize where the donations go and make sure our horses have enough hay to stay warm during winter months.

If anyone has one they’re not using or wants to donate it we can come get it! Or if you would like to donate money towards one for us that would be amazing, you can donate on our Venmo or PayPal!
Please share this with friends and groups as well!
Thanks for your support!

It’s been just over a month since we took in two incredibly emaciated horses, Nick & Holly. We wanted to update yall on their progress so you can see exactly where your donations are going. Holly is slowly and steadily gaining weight, de-worming them both is next on a long list of things they will need. She is shy and reserved. We have gotten a halter on her at times, she’s very hesitant of ropes and hands. We tried to lead her out of her stall for an update video and she was uninterested in coming out of her safe space. Her eyes are less sunken in and her body is starting to fill out. She’s on a special diet due to the extreme condition she came in with. He wann touch and interaction. If you would like to contribute to Holly’s care, please donate to our PayPal or Venmo (links below) she still needs a farrier and a full vet work up, plus deworming and her food costs. We will continue to post updates on their progress! PayPal: http://Paypal.me/equinecollectiveinc

Nick is slowly and steadily gaining weight, de-worming them both is next on a long list of things they will need.
He is still so very lovey. He wants human touch and interaction. Brushing is difficult due to some rain rot but we make due.
If you’d like to contribute to Nicks care please donate to our PayPal or Venmo (links below) he still needs a farrier and a full vet work up, plus deworming and his food.

Hi everyone!

The freezing weather has been tough on our older stock tanks, and unfortunately, some of them are starting to crack. New stock tanks are incredibly expensive, and we’re reaching out for help.

If you’re looking to make a last-minute donation before tax season, we’d be so grateful if you’d consider donating toward new stock tanks for our animals. Or, if you happen to have any extra stock tanks you no longer need, we’d be happy to pick them up from you.

Every bit of help makes a difference, and we deeply appreciate your support!

Thank you!

Love Our Farrier Fridays!

Hi everyone! Today is Farrier Day at the sanctuary, and we’re reaching out for your support to help keep our rescues and sanctuary horses healthy and comfortable with regular hoof care. Each trim costs $50 per horse, and we’d love your help in covering these essential expenses!

Here’s the list of horses that were trimmed this round:
• Cap~sponsored
• Autumn~sponsored
• Second
• Lady~sponsored
• Zippo
• Maverick~sponsored
• Henry~sponsored
• Oliver
• Sis~sponsored
• Thunder~sponsored

Cap also requires custom shoes to help manage his arthritis, which cost $90.

Every donation—big or small—makes a difference in the lives of these incredible animals. Thank you so much for your kindness and support!

You can donate via Venmo () or on PayPal http://Paypal.me/equinecollectiveinc

All donations are 100% tax deductible.

What classes and clinics would yall like to see this year? We are always looking for events to fundraise and educate.
Some of the ones we’ve discussed is possibly a bodywork clinic with Bit to Bit Equine or maybe we could do a basic equine care clinic? A nutrition clinic? Or a donation day where you can’t come and see how we rescue, rehab and repurpose?

We have our annual Fall Fest planned but we have thought about maybe doing a spring or summer festival.

We also still do once a month equine therapy with 4Jake and Touchstone Counseling LLC

Do yall want to see Horse yoga?

Merry Christmas from all of us to all of you. Thank you for your support day in and day out to help keep our rescues fed, warm, and happy. Your donations keep hay in the barn, grain in the tubs, and allow our staff to clean, care for, and train our rescues.
Without you, we couldn’t save lives and make the impact we do.
Merry Christmas! 🎄

Another successful adoption story!

Tony was a barn favorite. Mischievous and full of personality and character. He was one of the first to greet out new visitors and volunteers. Now Tony is now living at a new barn because his mom got married and officially adopted him!
Erin had been leasing Tony for nearly two years and finally got to sign the papers to make him officially hers. While we will not only miss Tony, but also Erin, as they both start this new exciting chapter of their lives, we are overjoyed that they found each other and were such a perfect fit.
Congrats to them both on all the new beginnings. ❤️
