Merry Christmas from all of us to all of you. Thank you for your support day in and day out to help keep our rescues fed, warm, and happy. Your donations keep hay in the barn, grain in the tubs, and allow our staff to clean, care for, and train our rescues.
Without you, we couldn’t save lives and make the impact we do.
Merry Christmas! 🎄

Another successful adoption story!

Tony was a barn favorite. Mischievous and full of personality and character. He was one of the first to greet out new visitors and volunteers. Now Tony is now living at a new barn because his mom got married and officially adopted him!
Erin had been leasing Tony for nearly two years and finally got to sign the papers to make him officially hers. While we will not only miss Tony, but also Erin, as they both start this new exciting chapter of their lives, we are overjoyed that they found each other and were such a perfect fit.
Congrats to them both on all the new beginnings. ❤️

🎉🎉ADOPTION STORY!🎉🎉

Bren is an 8 (ish) year old Arabian mare that left us for a while and had to come back due to her having some anxiety in a larger barn environment. She started with us originally very sick and can be skittish at times.

Kim is one of our long term volunteers that has been with us over a year.

Kim met Bren and fell in love with her gentle demeanor and calm presence. After months of brushing, treats, and groundwork, Kim decided that Bren needed to be hers.
Wednesday they officially signed their papers and now Brendolynn Rowena has a forever home as the trusty emotional support horse to an incredibly loving mom and her boys.
Congrats on finding each other you two! We are also so happy that Bren gets to stay with us, now as a boarded horse with a family, instead of a rescue looking for a home. 💜

Who has a pumpkin patch and can donate extra pumpkins?
We are in need of about 50 pumpkins for our Fall Fest on Saturday. The event to raise money for the winter for our sanctuary. Your donations can be tax deductible! If you can donate pumpkins or money for pumpkins that would be amazing!
Also looking to borrow only some straw bales and mums for a photo display!

Second has been diagnosed with Cushing’s and now requires a daily medication to relieve his symptoms.
Cushing’s is basically an overproduction of cortisol in his system and the medication will help regulate it.
Luckily Second has a sponsor that helps pay for his care, however we have so many more horses like Second that require medication, special diets, and extra training.

Please consider donating today for our $5 Fridays. (Venmo )
Every donation you make is tax deductible.

Also don’t forget to come see us next Saturday for our 2nd Annual Fall Fest! You can meet some of our horses that are most in need and sign up to sponsor!

We are very selective about who we choose for volunteers, staff, and on site trainers. Our horse are unique, coming from varying backgrounds and traumas, some of which, we don’t fully know. Our rescues are looking for loving connection and trust, which is why we chose Dual B Training & Farrier Service to be our in house trainers.
We cannot afford to have trainers that believe in outdated training techniques that hurt more than heal.
My favorite thing about this picture (Finny is not a rescue, he’s a fresh pony learning to take a saddle) is that rearing and bucking are apart of horse training life sometimes and Baylinn’s demeanor is calm, steadfast, and patient. She knows what she’s doing and she confidently walks him through his steps without getting panicking on getting frustrated. This is what you need in a trainer.
Give them a call to set up a consultation.

Good horse training is not for the faint of heart. It requires bravery, calmness, and a steady presence to earn a horse's trust and guide them through new experiences. Breaking a horse to ride is a delicate process that demands patience, understanding, and a deep connection forged through mutual respect.

It’s about more than just teaching a horse to carry a rider—it’s about building a relationship. You need to communicate clearly, set boundaries with kindness, and be consistent in your expectations. Each horse has its own personality, fears, and learning pace. Some days are full of breakthroughs, while others test your resolve.

To be a good trainer, you must adapt to each horse’s unique needs, remain calm in the face of resistance, and celebrate small victories. True progress comes from understanding the horse’s perspective and working with them, not against them. It’s a journey of trust, growth, and partnership that’s as rewarding as it is challenging.

These things can take time and require unwavering patience to achieve these goals.
If you’re unsure where to start, whether your horse is green, needs a restart, or just a tune up, give us a call for a free consultation.

Tony is one of our rescue success stories. He has one of the biggest personalities. His mom is always impressed by his smooooth brain 😅
