Dont wait on severe weather before having a plan for your pet. Prepare now! Have some sort of ID on ur pet in the case they get separated from you during severe weather, and make such they have sufficient shelter to withstand hail if they are outside.

Sequoyah County Farm Bureau is offering a Defensive Driver Course on Saturday, June 8th at our Sallisaw location.

The curriculum for this course is provided by the National Safety Council, instructed by Oklahoma Farm Bureau and includes videos and class participation. This is a six-hour course. This class is effective for drivers of all ages.

Members of Oklahoma Farm Bureau who have their automobile insurance through Oklahoma Farm Bureau Insurance Company can receive an approximate 5% discount on their auto insurance upon completion of the course. Certification in the course lasts for three years. The cost of the course is $10 for OKFB members. Non-members pay the equivalent cost of a Farm Bureau membership in their county, ($40) with the option to become an OKFB member.

An animal cruelty investigation is underway after a dog was found with his face and eyes completely covered in spray foam on Whitewood Drive in Benton.

Another poor cat shot in the face off Carr Street, this time his ear is blown off and dangling from his face. Unfortunately he is skittish and i have to try to catch this one in a live trap.
