I have tried this recipe for my greasy, gunky kitchen cabinets and IT WORKS!!! I used vegetable oil in mine, but would recommend maybe grapeseed oil or something lighter in color.

A few days ago I ran out of dishwasher detergent. I tried a recipe I found on pinterest: 2 drops of Dawn, filled both detergent cups with Baking Soda and a cup of vinegar on the top rack. It worked better than Cascade! This one is definitely a keeper!
