January 29th marked 100 days in shelter for this incredibly sweet guy! Let’s find him his perfect forever home! He’s wonderful!
TAZZ has 3 loves in his life – walks, snacks and snuggles. He was found wandering the streets alone and his finder took him to MACC. There he has sat, the sweetest thing since sugar, for 3 months. He has the silliest expressions, he can be incredibly goofy, and the volunteers and staff adore him. He just needs to be SEEN! Tazz did great in his dog/dog interactions, lifting his paw towards the other dog, wagging his tail, very polite. He can be active and fun as well, and has a playful spirit. Let’s not let this big guy wait another moment. He needs a family. You need a friend!

Say hello to Tina. Tina is a 6 year old female Shih Tzu that weighs about 12 pounds. She is enjoying what life has to offer outside a puppy mill. Tina loves to play with toys and to rearrange beds and blankets. Toys are her happiness. She does play other dogs and does not mind cats. The home that would be best for Tina is a fenced in yard, another companion to learn from and no young children. 🐾 Meet Gibson: The Sweetest Pittie Looking for His Forever Home ❤️

Location: Alabama, available w/transport to many NorthEast states.

Gibson’s journey hasn’t been easy. This friendly, lovable pittie was found running down a highway in Alabama, picked up by animal control, and sadly, no one came to reclaim him. Based on his manners and training, it’s clear he once had a home—how anyone could let him go is beyond us. 💔

At just 2 years old and 54 lbs, Gibson is:
🐶 Housebroken & well-behaved
👦 Amazing with children & other dogs
🏡 A perfect family companion

Despite his gentle nature, Gibson has had his fair share of hardships. Someone crudely cropped his ears, but thankfully, they don’t cause him any pain. He also suffered a past leg injury that healed on its own. While it doesn’t require treatment and doesn’t slow him down one bit, it’s a reminder of all he has endured.

Gibson is also heartworm positive, but he is undergoing treatment and doing wonderfully. Road to Home Rescue is fully covering his care, and he will make a full recovery.

Though Gibson’s past may have been rough, he is anything but broken. He is an affectionate, happy, and resilient dog who is ready to be loved forever. Right now, he’s thriving in his foster home, but what he really wants is a family to call his own.

Phil is a sweet but shy terrier mix who is looking for a patient, loving home. He’s a little cautious around new people and will need time to feel comfortable, but once he trusts you, he’s affectionate and sweet. Phil is rear and paw shy but enjoys head pets and is able to be handled gently. He’s playful but still a bit scared, sniffing toys and wagging his tail before backing away. Phil does get nervous with sudden movements but is improving with time! He pulls a bit on leash and would do best in a home with teens (15+) who can be mindful of his sensitivities. If you’re looking for a sweet, shy pup to build a bond with, Phil might be the perfect fit!
