Good morning and happy Friday!🎉 Our Fall classes and programs are officially LIVE on our site. Below is a little breakdown of each!

🐴 Mommy & Me: Designed for our smallest friends to explore the farm and animals with their favorite adult. Geared toward ages 1-5 this is a 60 minute class offered on select Saturdays throughout September and October. Classes are theme based and change each class. Our day typically includes story time, a craft or activity, a pony ride, and some free time for independent play.

🐴 Farm Friends: Designed for those kiddos that thrive being around animals. Classes are offered on Thursdays with groups based on age: 2-4 and 5-9. This is a drop off, semester based program where children will focus on farm stewardship. Our fall program runs from September to November with a Family Day in early December to showcase what our kiddos have learned! Each class will include animal husbandry, animal related crafts and activities, and a mini riding lesson with 1:1 instruction. (Parents, especially of our younger kids, are welcome to stay on site if more comfortable)

Farm Camp: Chicken edition🐓

Today our campers learned all about pasture raised chickens. Did you know the chickens here at Wild Oaks are pasture raised? This means they have daily access to our entire farm and only return to their coop at night. This allows our chickens to forage and engage in natural behaviors leading to happier, healthier chickens and more nutritious eggs🐓 Speaking of eggs, this practice also leads to impromptu egg hunts🪺

📢 Mommy & Me is back 📢

Calling our youngest animal lovers! Do you ever go to a farm and your child always asks to do more? Look no further! Here at Wild Oaks Ranch we have developed our Mommy and Me classes to work hands on with the animals (horses, donkeys, goats, pigs, chickens, etc) in a safe, nurturing environment.

Each class we will learn about, play with, and feed our barnyard friends along with special crafts and activities! 🐓🐴🐖🐐

Pumpkin appreciation post.

Pumpkin has been on our farm since the month we bought it. Every new idea we've had and experience we offer, we can always count on Pumpkin to have our backs. We wouldn't be where we are today without her. Thanks for all you do Pumpkin! You're amazing!

Looking for a unique way to celebrate mom and make memories with your little one this Mother’s Day? Or just looking for a special bonding experience with your kiddos?

Join us at Wild Oaks Ranch Thursday, May 9th for a Mommy and Me Farm Play Day! We are currently offering two time slots: 10:30am-12pm or 4:30pm-6pm.

Celebrate with our new goat mamas and their kids, feed the animals, enjoy story time, take part in our Mother’s Day arts and craft, and finish off the day with a pony ride!

This is a ticketed event. Included in the price is one child and one adult. Please contact us for additional sibling pricing. This will be an intimate experience so once times slots are sold out, additional space will not be added in order to be fair to all.

Hi friends👋🏼 we would like to take a moment to officially introduce our little miracle baby, Forest!

📖 Are you ready for story time? 📖

Forest’s mama, Rain, went into labor Friday morning, 3/22. We noticed shortly after she was not progressing and despite our attempts, we weren’t able to assist her. While attempting to help her, though, we were also notifying the vet. We got the approval and quickly rushed the two to the emergency vet. Once there, the team also tried, but it was decided that the baby was larger than anticipated and needed to be delivered via c-section. While we hoped and prayed, the vet confirmed our worst fear, the baby had likely not survived. About two hours later, we received the call. Mama was out of surgery and doing well. We held our breath. The nurse explained that while his heartbeat was faint, the doctor worked tirelessly to resuscitate him. We weren’t out of the woods, but we had hope! The first 24 hours were tough on him, but he continued to fight. We were able to bring them both home Sunday- along with the name given to him by the vet that resuscitated him. We could not be more grateful for all of their hard work and care for them both!

Unfortunately, mama does not appreciate him being around her (to put kindly). As a result, he is safe and warm in the house, being bottle fed, loved on, and monitored closely. Both continue to recover and build their strength daily.

For those attending our event on Saturday and wondering, he will not be making an appearance. We believe it is in his best interest to continue allowing him time to adjust slowly to this new world. We appreciate your understanding and will continue to update on their journey!❤️🙏🏼

To our Farm Camp Family, thank you for an incredible summer! 7 weeks of new friendships, new experiences, new topics learned. New farm stewards gaining knowledge to help a slowly disappearing field. I am so proud of each and every single one of our campers this year. We achieved feats both large and small. Whether it was being away from mom and dad for the first time or overcoming our fears of horses, our kiddos tackled things head on, helped each other, and stepped up in ways I could have never imagined. Each week I was reminded how blessed we were to be given the opportunity to share and teach our campers. Each day I watched their interests grow. From the bottom of my heart, thank you! GOAT YOGA POSTPONED☔️ due to forecasted rain and a family emergency resulting in an unforeseen hospital admission, both sessions of Goat Yoga previously scheduled Saturday, May 13th will be RESCHEDULED to Sunday, May 28th. Session times will remain the same! Mimosas (for those 21+) and water will be present to celebrate🥂 Along with 5 new kiddos to meet🐐 While we are sad to announce the postponement, we hope many of you can attend the new date. We cannot wait to see you all! If there is any scheduling conflict due to the change, please reach out to us directly and we will gladly offer a refund! If that is the case, we will be hosting more sessions in the future and hope you will be able to attend!
