Lightning Bolt was adopted Saturday. The family came back and adopted his sibling Thunder on Sunday. This is Thunder being welcomed in to the family and being reunited with his sibling.

Personality: He thinks he is shy but loves to be pet, he's a cuddle bug once tired, he's got a loud purr and melts in your arms. Runs when approached but does not hide. Adores other cats, raised with 2 medium dogs and doesn't mind them at all. Absolutely loves his brother Bolt, they are inseparable. Likes to play catch but has not mastered bringing it back. Loves treats, nicknamed Handsome.
Thunder may start off a little shy, but deep down, he’s a total cuddle bug once he’s had a chance to unwind. He may run away when approached, but he never hides — he just needs a moment to gather his confidence. Thunder's loud purr is impossible to ignore, and he melts right into your arms, purring happily as you shower him with affection. The best time to catch him for cuddles is when he’s not on the ground — perched on a higher surface where he feels safe and cozy. Thunder is learning the cat way of giving headbutts, even rubbing up against our legs. Although Thunder loves playing catch, he hasn’t quite mastered the art of bringing the toy back yet. But that doesn’t stop him from having fun.
Thunder and Bolt will benefit from consistent, gentle interactions throughout the day. Start by keeping them in your bedroom, offering treats and small portions of canned food to help them feel safe. Dangle toys in front of them and sneak a pet or two. They don't mind a loud house hold life, vacuum, people, pets running around. In fact they will sleep through most of it. Thunder's instinct is just to run when approached. With the right loving patient home, he will be a perfect match. We are hoping Lightning Bolt and Thunder can find a forever home together, they go together like Peanut butter and Jelly.
These two are playful, loving, and full of fun. The bond between Thunder and Bolt, and their connection with their humans, will make for an adventurous and adorable life together. Are you their perfect match?

This young man stopped in to see if Prince Charming was available. His mom saw him on our Facebook. Didn't take long to make it final. Prince is going home to a 4 month old kitten. New friendship.

Our adoption interviews start at noon. Sign-ups to meet kittens start at about 9am Saturday and 10am Sunday . Actual adoption kitten meetings start at 12:00 noon.

You are filling out a generic kitten application. Applications do not guarantee a particular kitten.

#2 Once you fill out an application you will receive an email explaining our adoption process.

#3 You must first have an in person interview and meet the kittens at the Petsmart on Fairway Dr in Roseville.

#4.You will next fill out your adoption paperwork and take your adoption picture.

#5. Once you have found your match you must have a carrier to bring your kittens home in.
Carriers are available to purchase at Petsmart if you do not have one.

In a Foster To Adopt Home renamed to Sam and Frodo:

These sweet boys were returned with regret due to cat allergies. Mee Deggi returned to the same foster home he was raised in and adjusted immediately. Ed was cautious, but accepted gentle pets without running away. They seemed bonded at first, spending all their time together. Then Ed discovered the kittens being quarantined in their own kitten pen and he broke them out repeatedly-no matter what kind of enclosure we built. When we gave up trying to keep everyone separated, we discovered these boys aren’t truly bonded to each other, but both are extremely social cats that love other cats, especially kittens! They’d love to stay together- but as long as they go to a home with other friendly cats, it’s not mandatory.

Mee Deggi insists on an open door policy- he wants to be able to access his love wherever his love may be and he will wail if he thinks he is alone. I cannot express how much it is his PERCEPTION, which is unrelated to reality, as he can be in the midst of the company of several cats and other humans- but he will wail if he can’t be with whoever he has decided he wants to be with in that moment. Like his mother, he can jump over the 5.5ft cat gate installed on the kitten room door to get to his heart's desire. He changes his mind about his one true soulmate regularly, but will purr happily if he is reunited with them. Mee Deggi as a kitten was the one who instigated many of the kitten wrestling matches and looked for trouble. Mee Deggi the adult is so relaxed and easy going, his main goal in life is to find his one true love and nap.

Ed has been nicknamed Ed the Destroyer. Telling you that might make it harder for him to find a new home- but not telling you may mean he finds the wrong home and gets returned again. We give Ed credit for breaking kittens out of their pens, though we truly have no evidence. Most of the time, we just hear a crash and if we look up or enter the room- there are pieces of pet panels on the floor and Ed is just sitting nearby, looking innocent. Honestly, he only has one expression- and that is the “brain cell loading” look of befuddlement, but he is always at the scene of the crime. He is a tidy boy who wants his area to be neat and clean- so he will help by clearing off your desk or counter of assorted debris. The only thing we’ve truly caught him destroying is a cardboard cat house designed to withstand some cat attention. In fact, this particular cat house withstood over a year of bringing joy to my house cats and 13 foster litters (49 cats). It did not survive Ed. Ed loves food, but isn’t always smart enough to know how to eat it without a little patience and encouragement. Ed is truly orange, a fabulously handsome pile of affection wrapped in majestic floof with a sprinkle of chaos.

Ed and Mee Deggi are currently in treatment for ear mites and need ear drops until 1/17/25, but they’re available to take home now as a foster to adopt. You’ll finish their treatment under our guidance and can officially adopt them when they’ve received a clean bill of health.

Aurora is a calico beauty. She is an absolute sweetheart who is just as happy to be with you, playing with her siblings or entertaining herself. She has the cutest little squeaky sound while purring. She loves playing with his siblings and running throughout the house on the chase. She also loves balls, plastic springs and handheld wands. She is accustomed to being around older cats and 3 small, yappy dogs who don’t appreciate personal space. Although she has not had experience with children, she may do well with slow introduction. You will absolutely fall in love with this beautiful, sweet girl.

Prince Charming is a stunningly handsome orange tabby and quite the little charmer. Prince is a vocal boy with the cutest little “trill” sounds when he’s excited and running around acting silly! He loves to jump in front of you like he’s going on the attack. He also does a thing with his front legs that reminds his foster mom of a Praying Mantis! He’s just a character but equally a sweetheart. Always purring and happy to see you.
He loves playing with his siblings and running throughout the house on the chase. He also loves balls, plastic springs and handheld wands and will keep you entertained with his antics. He is accustomed to being around older cats and 3 small, yappy dogs who don’t appreciate personal space. Although he has not had experience with children, he will most likely be fine. Lightning Bolt's name was given to him thanks to his crooked bunched up short tail. When he was little he barely had any hair and his tail looked like a lightning bolt. Now it just looks like a cute short tail. His nickname is Bolt, but also Handsome. He sure loves his brother Thunder. Bolt is the more cuddly one and often wakes up his humans in the morning for morning cuddles. Bolt is hands on when it comes to treats, and will try to grab them out of your hands. This shy girl is still looking for her furrever! Call 916-705-6884 Cosette Female 16 weeks Raised with older teens, cats, and gentle dogs Eating Purina One Healthy Kitten dry kibble Cosette is a sweet and playful girl. She came to us emaciated but with a ravenous appetite and quickly recovered. She’s super cute with her soft as velvet fur and the most adorable unique curled tail (no breaks, she just holds it that way; kinda like the cat version of a husky or pug!). She’s super active and playful and bouncy. She loves all toys and still loves food, especially wet food! She is a shy girl and it will take some time and patience for her to warm up in her new home. Wand toys, soft fuzzy balls, and wet food is the way to her heart! She would love to be adopted with another friendly kitten or cat to play with in her new home. Because of her shyness, Cosette would do best in a home with teens and adults only. She’s grown up with small dogs, cats, and older teens and does well with everyone with a slow and gentle introduction. If you’re looking for a cute playful girl, Cosette may be the kitten for you!

Girl Scout Troop 2705 wanted to earn their Silver Award Project and decided to design a mobile agility course. Due to the uptick in covid pups needing new homes, they thought creating an agility course could help families keep their dogs exercised and mentally stimulated. These girls worked hard to design their agility course, create directions on how to put the course together and made a little guide for families about dogs needs. The girls from Troop 2705 wanted to partner with IBR (they adopted IBR Alumni, Betty). They demonstrated the agility course with current puppies in IBR (Wednesday and Pugsley) and left the mobile agility course with IBR to use for puppies in rescue. Well done Girl Scout Troop 2705!
