*****Yet another good neighbor shout out*****

I love my neighborhood and the animal loving people that live here.

Last week my neighbor a few door down messaged me to see if I could use these items for the cats. Of course we can Linda and Damon.

For these two to be lifelong Cub fans, they are actually okay people. Great neighbors and animal welfare advocates.

Last night I received a text from a number I did not have programmed in. It was a few pictures of a cute blk pitty sitting in a kennel and the person sending it telling me that they would need help if no owner came forward.

Unfortunately I had to say "who is this". Turns out it was Officer Leone with Troy Police Dept. He had found this sweet girl and wanted to make sure she would be safe. He said she was super sweet and friendly.

Turns out his dept shared the post, then Katherine Elizabeth Conder the director at Madison County Animal Care and Control saw it and shared it to the Lost and Found pets page where another person posted a screenshot of the owner looking for this girl.

So, within an hour, due to social media posts and loving caring animal people we were able to get this girl back home. Officer Leone asked me to keep his number in my phone going forward.

We worked together on a hoarding situation in Troy over a year ago and I just never programmed his number in.

It truly takes a village to help all these lost and abandoned animals. I am proud of the lengths that most of our police departments will go to help these wonderful critters! Officer Leone told me that his department is full of animal lovers.

I was also able to send him the information for his department to obtain a newer, more advanced microchip reader to assist in reuniting pets and people! 🐾 🐾 ❤️ 🐾 🐾

If you live in Troy and run across one of their officers, thank them for all they do to help our beloved pets.

We released 3 of the 4 cats we trapped for TNR on Monday. We kept the little black long haired one hoping to find rescue or a home.

We didn't take any video or pictures of the release because as soon as we began to release the cats we learned the neighbors dogs had gotten out and were on the run!

The owner of the dogs stopped to thank us for helping with the cat issues. We told her to give us the descriptions of the pups and we would began looking too.

We found both pups within a half hour or so. I also got to run into one of my favorite families. Gave Jimmy a big hug too. Rick Lynn , Johnny Lynn , ♥️ you guys and thanks for looking out for Frankie. She actually ran home on her own after we caught the black one.

Two missions closed before noon! It's a good day!
Thank you Linda Sutton Weller I know we were not expecting to be out walking in the woods this morning but we do what we have to in order to reunite pets and people!

Kati Dyer Compton good seeing you again today. We will always have a pet connection in this life!

This little one isnt going back on the streets.

Hopefully we will get a rescue tag in the next few days/weeks or someone to offer him a home to call his own.
