Second Nature Equine Hoof Care

I've trimmed and shod horses for 12 years. A 1998 graduate of both the Wyoming and Michigan Schools of Horseshoeing, I've apprenticed with some of the finest shoers in Michigan: Kirk Lucas, Paul Melcher, and Joe Pillera. I've done clinics with and worked on-site with both Mitch Murphy and Richard Becker, CJF. Recently, my practice led me to studying with Cliff Mortimer. I now offer barefoot alternatives to steel shoes for horses. I follow the principles of Dr. Richard Bowker's 'Physiological Trim'. There is no one way to trim each and every horse; no one prescription for every animal. I treat all horses on an individual basis and as if they were my own.
