As I type this post thru tears in my eyes and the hole in my chest, I’m trying to find the right words. Today our Smokey boy crossed the rainbow bridge. We are completely devastated! His health had been declining over the last few weeks. After multiple vet visits, on Friday he was diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia and put on meds. Unfortunately last night, his tired body couldn’t fight it anymore. We tried everything we could to save him, but he was ready to be at peace. We are trying to stay strong for our other 3 furbabies but it isn’t easy. We are lost! Smokey came into our lives at 9 weeks old and 11 years just wasn’t long enough. We will cherish our memories of our sweet boy but for now we mourn the loss of our first baby. Rest easy Smokey boy...Mom, Dad, Milo, Plato and Clem love you so much and miss you terribly!! 9/22/08-1/12/20 ♥️

Update: Smokey has bacterial pneumonia. He'll be on meds for quite awhile and Dr said he'll sound worse before he gets better. We're happy he's not contagious and he'll be home very soon!!

Dad here, Please keep our big boy Smokey in your thoughts. Mom just took him to emergency vet with short laboured breathing.

Mom and Dad are very sad tonight. Leroy Brown the Boston Terrier was one of their favorite pups. 😪

Words from the dad...

I can here Leroy saying it in my head, "Suck it up butt munch! At least you got off work early!"

3027 days from July 26, 2011 (the day we found Leroy) until today. All those days seem like forever until you remember that on that first day, Leroy wasn't going to make it through the night. But he did! Then he made that next 3026 days go by in a flash! We watched him heal and then thrive. We watched him go from a mess of a dog to...well... he was always a mess, with his bad breath, ungainly run, treat disorder and a foot fe**sh. Oh! And a uncontrollable need to be within 2 feet of his pretty mama at all times.
Over the last eight years I have had the honor to be the voice behind Leroy Brown the Boston Terrier on facebook and it's been more fun they anyone might image. I have been told by many, that Leroy changed their life or Leroy helped them through a ruff patch, but I can't take credit for any of it. It was all him! His story has inspired many and changed the lives of other Boston type Terriers that found themselves in need of a good meal and some love. JOY the Demon Lord of the Underworld even found a good and loving home because Leroy inspired me and his pretty mama to be our best. Now my only wish is for the love that so many people from around the world have shown for the Round Brown Hound with Flowing Brown Locks, a fat neck and tasty treat breath will continue.
Vera, his pretty mama and I, his dump ass dad, had to say goodbye to Leroy today. He battled hard but lost his fight with Little Timmy Tumor. We will cherish all 3027 days we had with him and we are so thankful that Leroy gave them to us. We are also thankful to you, his lickers...errr.. likers for hanging out with us, laughing with us, crying with us and knuckling under pressure and buying shirts or donating money to one Boston or another because Leroy told you to.
There are so many people out there that we would like to hug and thank (you know who you are) but I'm afraid I can't list them all. So again THANK YOU!

If I was to voice one more post for Leroy, it would be this...
"Remember me and laugh. Remember me and care. I's has the best extra 3027 daze a round brown hound could have! I's love you all! But not the dump ass dad! Him does stupid stuff!"

Happy 11th birthday to the old man and leader of our pack Smokey 🐾 He may be 11, but still has the energy of a puppy and keeps up with his siblings. We love you Smokey boy! 🥰

Happy Father’s Day to the BEST dog Dad in this world, our Dad!! We all hit the jackpot that Daddy chose us to be his babies. He might act tough on the outside but when it comes to us, or any furbaby including his foster babies, he is a big softy!! We have him wrapped around our little paws 🐾 😉 We love him so much so please help us wish him a Happy Father’s Day! ❤️

Hi friends...keep your fur babies safe this summer!

☀️😎🐾Summer is here! While every dog is at risk for heat stroke, Boston Terriers are more prone to it thanks to their short noses. Limit outdoor activity to early mornings or late evenings, make sure water and shade is readily available, and *never* leave your dog in the car (even if you think it's cool enough). 🐾😎☀️

Know and SHARE these signs of overheating to keep your dogs safe this summer:
- Excessive panting
- Excessive drooling
- Fast or irregular heart beat
- Bright red gums and tongue can indicate heat exhaustion.
- Fatigue or resistance to walk

This is my happy face after being sprung from the vet. Today was my annual dental cleaning 😒 But the staff was so nice and spoiled me rotten 🥰 Now I’m just relaxing with my siblings, Dad and Mom. Have a great weekend everyone ~ Milo
