This is Lucky. 🍀 This beautiful mare touched my heart. ❤️ I’ve wanted to share her story for sometime but I wasn’t sure how, you see Lucky was tortured as a PMU mare for possibly 10 years. It is believed she had 8 foals.
If you’re not familiar with PMU aka “Pregnant Mares Urine”, I will caution you should you decide to research. It’s brutal IMO. These mares were kept bred year after year and made to stand in small enclosures so that their urine could be caught and used in a medication for women called “Premarin”. Pregnant… mares… urine… Some of the foals were killed at birth or sold at auction and the mare was then rebred.
It truly saddens me what Lucky had endured but what touched my heart the most was the love she has for her owner Laurie. I believe Laurie got Lucky at the age of 12 and has owned her ever since. 🥰
Unfortunately Luckys sister could not be saved and went to slaughter.

Lucky is part of a herd that is used in a therapy program in which Dr. Laurie Sakaeda runs at
http://www.ahelpinghoof.org/

Check it out!!

Here is Luckys description from their site:

“Lucky is a 1995 3/4 Percheron and 1/4 Quarter mare. She was a PMU mare who was rescued from slaughter and then we adopted from the Oklahoma rescue. She still has plenty of life in her. She will challenge someone or hug them depending on what they need.

Lucky is semi-retired, but that doesn't stop her from keying into a person's needs and being there when they need a hug or shoulder to cry on.”

Lucky is truly an amazing horse and it was my pleasure to meet her and an honor to pulse her.

Please take a moment and watch this video. I personally am not a fan of riding my horses BTV, deep and round or Rollkur. Nor do I lunge with my horses heads to their chest. This video shows what happens to the cervical vertebrae as well as to the back. Remember everything is connected.

Make a change. Be kind to your horse. Spread awareness.

Super fun day with Eileen Galoostian and Mimi Nuelle. Pulsing beautiful jumpers after watching part of their Jumper lesson. It’s always beneficial to see the horses in action prior to a session. 😊
I especially love the photo of me with Gigi. Thank you Mimi! Having a horse literally relax in my arms is why I do this. ❤️

Have a look at a recent study done on PEMF for hooves. 😊

Evaluating the effect of pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy on sole depth of the equine hoof: A pilot study

“Here, we report a trend towards a positive impact of pulsed electromagnetic frequency (PEMF) therapy on the sole depth of the proximal processes of P3, indicating a potential benefit of a noninvasive therapy for soundness and performance in the horse. To our knowledge, this is the first study to critically assess the impact of PEMF on hoof parameters including sole depth and palmar angle.”

🌟 Did you know? 🌟 Studies suggest that PEMF may help improve calcium and collagen production in animals.

This is especially important for active animals who put a lot of stress on their joints.

As our pets age, their bodies don't produce these vital nutrients as efficiently. Pulse PEMF may help support their natural healing process, promoting an increased range of motion and keeping them moving!

Have your animals ever experienced the power of PEMF? Let us know your experience in the comments!

⭐️ Tova is now 21 years old. I love how PEMF has helped her get back into shape and moving so well.

Ever wonder how PEMF affects athletic performance?

Here's the science behind our tech:

☑️ Recharge Your Cells: PEMF stimulates your cells by boosting their energy production and oxygen uptake. Imagine your muscles performing like perfectly charged batteries!

☑️ Enhanced Recovery: PEMF capitalizes on the body’s intelligence and incredible self-healing capabilities, fueling the cells with natural energy that may speed up recovery.

☑️ Assist With Muscle Fatigue & Discomfort: PEMF might trigger a decrease in perceived muscle soreness. This, along with its effect on user energy levels, makes PEMF the perfect complement to training programs.

Look at this beautiful mare named Amatta owned by Faith Redmond. This was Amatta’s first PEMF session. To say she loved her session would be an understatement! Faith mentioned numerous times it was not the norm for Amatta to stand so quiet for such a long time. Amatta even tried to follow me after I had packed up to leave. 😌

Loving this from SEQ Pulse Therapy!

Why PEMF?

PEMF therapy for horses accelerates healing and quick recovery from injuries, as well as faster recovery after a long day of work or a hard race. It’s used to heal bone fractures and repair cracked hooves. Regular use of electromagnetic therapy can improve recovery time for horses by as much as 70%.

Pain reduction
In addition to shortening recovery times, PEMF therapy also immediately relieves the symptoms of hard work and strain put on the body. Equine PEMF reduces pain, swelling, soreness, and fatigue in horses. It’s a non-invasive method of treating pain without the use of medication.

Improved performance
Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy improves blood flow and cell function, which results in improved performance in horses. Equine PEMF improves speed, strength, endurance, and range of motion in horses.

Injury prevention
Another great advantage of PEMF therapy for horses is that you can actually use it to identify the areas where your horse is sore. This can help prevent injuries due to overuse or imbalances.

Longer careers
Maintenance makes everything last longer. This is true for cars, people, and horses. Maintaining a healthy horse ensures a longer career. Equine PEMF therapy promotes healthy cells and improves cell function.

Horses love PEMF therapy
The pulses help calm and soothe horses, and you can see instantly how much they enjoy the therapy treatments. It’s a safe and effective form of treatment that does not require sedation.

How does equine PEMF therapy work?
You’ve heard of deep tissue massage; you can think of PEMF therapy as a deep tissue massage for the cells. It works on the mitochondrial level. The electromagnetic pulses stimulate the cells, effectively charging the cells and promoting natural cellular regeneration and vigor.

PEMF therapy alternately engages and relaxes the cells in the body. The EMF pulses engage the cells, and the cells relax between pulses. The cells become more permeable during this process, which improves the cells’ ability to bring in oxygen and remove toxins.

A coil sends low-frequency EMFs in waves through the horse’s body. These EMF pulses are completely safe and non-invasive; there are now dangers, risks, or side effects with PEMF systems that are registered as wellness devices. All PEMF Complete devices are wellness devices.

Although the EMF pulses are generated by a PEMF machine, they mimic the natural electromagnetic fields that are found throughout nature. The earth sustains a constant electromagnetic field. PEMF therapy simply targets these frequencies to stimulate cellular function.

It can treat large areas of the body, or you can target specific areas that need extra focus. It’s completely safe and effective.

Equine PEMF therapy treatments take roughly 40 minutes to complete.

I wanted to give Mountain Point Equine a very big THANK YOU you for taking such good care of our mama Mystic while we were away on vacation. 🏝️ Top notch care!! The communication was excellent as they kept me informed. 😊
Mystic was in the main barn where she was seen via camera, staff walking by and foal alert that was placed. She was there for 10 days and came out of her stall very relaxed. They have foal kits available too!!
I highly recommend Mountain Point Equine Hospital!
