Good morning to all my dog lovers!
It is time to come out of my shell and introduce myself to the world. My name is Anna “Pretty Wolf Girl” Baker. I am the owner of Dog Bark and I am the pack leader to 3 beautiful dogs, aka, the Dog Bark Crew; Bub, a 9 year old yellow Labrador, Mo, a 5 year old Labrador-Border Collie Mix, and let me not forget my little thunder-butt, Peach a blue Pit-bull that will be 3 this May.
For the past 5 years I have fed my pack a completely natural, homemade diet. No, I do not follow one specific diet I use many variations to care for our health and well being. Just like us humans every dog is unique and their food requirements reflect the same. I use a wide variety of many “diets” to create a lifestyle that works for our specific needs...Home-cooked, Raw, Food Therapy, Chinese Food Therapy, Targeted Nutritional Therapy, Holistic, Ketogenic, the list goes on.
No, I cannot afford some of the grass-fed, free-range, organic goods for myself, let alone my pack. I am a struggling entrepreneur trying to make the best out of life for me and my pack. We do the best we can with what we have and they will never get less than what I would put in my own mouth.
I like to grow my own herbs and vegetables (when I can), support my local farmers (fresh is best), and trade with my friends for something they may have that I do not. I give back to Mother Earth by composting our waste (food scraps, paper goods, and even the dogs’ p**p), Ha Ha Ha! I said p**p! I’m sure that will not be the last time.
Over the last 5 years I have learned many things managed to keep us all alive and in good health, as well as, find myself and my true calling in life. Now, is the time to bring back our ancient medicines, the healing techniques of our ancestors, and a natural way of life. To give and receive from our friends, our neighbors and our planet. I hope through my experiences, my continued self-education, and many practices that I can help you find the best ways to care for you and your pack.
