Mama Dog’s story is one of survival, strength, and second chances. In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, CPARS’ founder and Chief Critter Officer, Nick, spotted her wandering near an aid station—thin, hungry, and clearly in need of help. Despite searching for her owners, no one came forward, so Mama Dog was brought safely to the rescue. Soon after, it became clear she was expecting, and on Valentine’s Day, she gave birth to her beautiful puppies. Now that her babies have found homes, it’s Mama’s turn to find the loving family she deserves. ❤️

Even $5 makes a difference!

This year the Rutherford County Humane Society has rescued and helped save cats/kittens that have been thrown out of car windows needing major surgeries, those who had to have an
eye removed, and numerous cats sick and heathy who were abandoned at local
businesses needing extra vet care.
Every pet we rescue is fully vetted. Some just need
vaccinations and spayed or neutered while others need major surgery.
* An example of what we do:
This beautiful and sweet kitten was left at a
local business. We believe she had been attacked by an animal. Thankfully she got to a vet in time to be saved!
This bill will be quite large. But this sweet girl is
worth savingl!

What a great day for Camp Patriot and Rutherford County Animal Shelter! Pet Supermarket in Kernersville, NC donated a huge bin of goodies to CPARS and allowed us to purchase 400 pounds of nutritious dog food (that we donated to our friends at RCAS) at an amazing, discounted price! It is wonderful when animal advocates and community can work together to help the food scarcity problem that is too prevalent in North Carolina. THANK YOU, PET SUPERMARKET!!

Hey everyone! It's me, Dave! I wanted to thank you all for the donations! I was pretty dirty when I came to the sanctuary after my dad died this summer but now look at me! Y'all got me looking so pretty - I mean, I think I look pretty, but I don't have a mirror. It is only because of kind folks like y'all that I am able to be here eating yummy nutritious food, playing with my new friends. so many walks and cuddles and love while I am waiting for my furrever home. In my home state, none of the rescues would take me...I was too old, too big, unadoptable....but my new friends here at Camp Patriot saw that wasn't true! I am big but lovable, older but young at heart, and am a very good boy! Once again, I just wanted to say thank you!

Dave's story is one of many here at the sanctuary but there are so many more sweet babies that don't get to tell their story. It is only because of people like you that we are able to do what we do. Please consider making a donation so more dogs will be able to tell their story.

Hi! My name is Rosie. My foster family found me roaming around Winston-Salem in the middle of a busy intersection! I was really scared but I was chasing cars trying to find someone to take me home, I think my previous humans left me. But ever since my foster family rescued me, I have been the best girl. I don't p*e or p**p in their house, I am really playful, I get along with their dog, Bear, and they have been teaching me tricks! I can sit and give paw, and my foster is still teaching me more! I learn pretty quickly. I love meeting people; I always give them kisses! I just have so much love to give, despite what I have been through.
My ideal day with my new humans would be being able to cuddle with them, play fetch (I REALLY love to play fetch), and keep them company. Just like any of my pup friends, I also need exercise and mental stimulation to be my happiest pup self!

There are so many wonderful pups in need that would make the best companions. If you don't rescue from us, please consider other rescue organizations before you go to a breeder.

The truth is that there are so many breed-specific dogs in rescues.

Do your research, and please consider a rescue as your next furbaby.
