Another craft I worked on this week at home: resin dominoes! 🌌 Just a little 6-6 set for my own first projects collection. I am looking into getting the molds for larger sets like 9-9 and 12-12s...

I’ll attempt this design again soon. With bolder gold, let the dimpled layer dry longer, and only use the glitter on the back layer so it is further away from the dimples. This project helped me understand the process so I can try some other resin projects I’ve been thinking about. So excited 😆

My second morning I woke up to 4 eggs after giving them some treats of scraps watermelon and lettuce last night. One egg was squished though (cuz they don’t like eating their oyster shells for that calcium)…

I had a short break between homes! I was making art nearly everyday.

Playing with editing software like Lightroom and Canva, painting cow bones, ceramics, tie dye clothes, along with Procreate practice.

When I tell people I pet sit at other homes, one of the first things they say is “I couldn’t live in other peoples homes, I would get too bored” I have plenty to keep myself occupied. The first few days I get the lay of the home, checking out how it functions and is decorated, and bond with the pets. I bring a book, my Switch, a crochet project, my iPad, plus there’s cooking and Netflix. I’m a pretty big homebody.

During the bookings, I try to explore local restaurants, cafes, and activities. The next few weeks I’m in Redding in northern California, so plenty of outdoor adventures coming up!

Lola has been a lovely first time client to care for this past week. I was a bit skeptical because she head bumped me playing the first time we met!

She is definitely the princess of the house! I enjoyed getting to spoil her! She sleeps in their king size bed and loves using a pillow and blanket. Meal time is a process with 7 separate ingredients. She prefers to lead the walk. There is a dog bed in every room, even the restroom. But she loves sitting in laps.

I would say my least favorite moments here were 1️⃣her very stinky silent farts and 2️⃣play biting. I couldn’t do much about the farts, she just wants to be right near me… For playing, I would grab a toy and she would usually bite that.

When I leave my pet sitting postings, I enjoy making sure the pawrents have fresh sheets and clean space so they have a relaxing return home. Dax is excited to “help” make the bed, he insists on inspecting for any sign of movement!

I know he values cleanliness based on how often he cleans the kitten and himself… Although this last photo proves he also loves to sit in the dirt whenever he gets the chance…
