Beautiful feta is now hung up!

And I have a heck ton of sweet wonderful fresh whey. Oh my goodness I am so excited to taste it again, it reminds me of the good ol’ days of working at Carmel Valley Ranch!

The whey is like liquid energy! Packed with probiotics and amino acids, very hydrating for this desert environment. Both I and the animals will be enjoying it, and if there’s extra, our plants get a good dose too!

Next the feta hanging will be flipped in a few hours, then continue to hang for 24 hours.. stay tuned for tomorrow, when I cut it up and salt it!

So Excited!

My cheese cultures are coming in this week, and my new Kefir grains!

I can’t wait to start making.. kefir yogurt, feta and, chevre!

Once the cheese fridge is up and running, I’ll then be making all the good hard cheeses, Cheddar, Gouda, etc etc etc.

Our family will be supplied in amazing homemade cheeses, and I can’t wait to get started!

With our powerhouse milk goat giving us a gallon a day, I can start on cheeses every 3 days if I’d like!
