We had a moment last night as we finished up doing some groundwork…. This pretty gray mare takes a deep breath, and dropped her head.

AI will give it to her, She is pretty laid-back and quiet through and through., but there was something in this moment she was letting go of, and damn, did feel good to part of that with her

Stumbled across this girl looking for a home…. I haven’t committed to bringing her home…. Yet…. but I’ve spent the past few nights doing some ground work with her and building some trust. She is from a crowded breeding situation I believe, 10 years old with who knows what kind of background, but I’ll tell ya she doesn’t trust people. Anyway, she has some personality starting to come out and her name is Judy…. Until further notice that is… 😉

Folks, meet Luke.

😍I am honored to be helping get this gentle giant a little more exposure under saddle over the next couple weeks. His owner has done an amazing job getting him started driving and even under saddle for a few pony rides!

With my time I will be focusing on just growing confidence in him and exposing him to lots of sensations from a rider on his back and all around new things/places.

Thank you to B-B Performance Horses, I have had the opportunity to work with my first Andalusian. She has required more time, patients, and some creative thinking to earn her trust than many of the horses I have worked with... but these are the ones that are most rewarding, and seem to be most willing in the end. It’s a different kind of bond with this one ❤️

I am incredibly proud of how far we have come together, and thankful for the lessons she has taught me. The biggest one probably being that we just have to slow down. In this role, it’s hard to remember sometimes that it’s going to take as long as it takes, and there is not a schedule to keep. We are living on horse time, and I’m pretty okay with that ❤️🐴

Marilyn made the jump and bought this beautiful OTTB just a couple weeks ago, and on Wednesday she rode him for the first time! This green broke boy has proven to be a gentle giant, and is lucky to have such a dedicated owner willing to learn alongside him!! Can’t wait to see you guys grow together!

Good ride yesterday with some good company!!! Hope is super sure footed and loves the water... I mean LOVES it, she even thought about taking the rapids on! We also have new goals of learning to rock climb like our friend Jasper the mule!

Excited to announce Rocco, a 4yo OTTB will be joining us for 30 days of training. During his time with us we will be working on ground manners, becoming more supple, and building confidence in new environment and with new obstacles!

His owner will also be taking lessons to build her confidence through more understanding and experience!

Hope is coming along! We have some easy walking circles, and building more confidence with different objects all over her body! She needs some extra exposure getting into it a little late in the game.... can’t wait for all the crazy things we will find for her to get used to.... anyone have suggestions???

What strange/noisy/big/scary things should I introduce next??? Please comment below and I’ll reply with a video of your suggestion!!!

Remember Dolly from Monday? She was pretty cranky about doing anything, ESPECIALLY her awesome owner getting on to go for a ride. After a little ground work and Elizabeth laying down the law! She was able to get on for a little ride tonight, no kicking or biting! Great work Elizabeth and Dolly!

Starting to work on learning how to maneuver her horse now, hindquarters and front end first! She will be talking to those feet in no time!

Dolly has been on “maternity” leave for the past 13+ months, and unfortunately when her owner decided it was time to go back to work... well I think this mares expression says it all!! Looking forward to working with this pair and helping them get back to work and enjoying rides again soon!

In this clip I am working on just teaching Dolly to move out... with a little element of surprise because she is sour and doesn’t want to move her feet!!

Last night Bandon and I worked on some correct lateral flection, carrying his soft feel and stopping with a soft feel. Bandon is a SUPER broke sweet guy with lots to give on the trail, but has a slow pokey nature. This week we are going to focus on coming to life and putting a little more effort into his maneuvers. Hope did not disappoint today! She is a forward mare ready to take on anything in front of her! Today we focused on taking in the world around us, everything is very new to her, but with such a great mind she easily adjusts and carries on! What a special horse.... I am definitely falling in love 😍
