Some may say that this is not an impressive before and after but I think it’s important to clean teeth even when they have only a little bit of buildup because that prevents dental disease.

Do you ever look into your dogs mouth?
If not, you should.
Check their mouth regularly and watch out for these signs ⬇️⬇️
This picture is an example of healthy gum-line and teeth.
Healthy gingival tissue is light pink.
Swollen/puffy gums that bleed easily indicate the beginning of dental disease.
It causes discomfort, pain and later the gum tissue starts pulling away from the tooth causing root exposure, tooth loss and infections.
Loss of appetite and lethargy can also indicate tooth ache.
When in doubt consult a veterinarian.
Dogs and cats are great at masking pain symptoms.

FAQ: why some dogs have so much buildup even when they’re young? We know that Genetics play a huge role in dental health! Smaller breeds are more prone to dental disease and have some degree of it by age 3! Larger breeds usually develop dental issues by age 5. It’s nothing to be afraid of because it’s completely preventable! Best way to prevent buildup is to keep brushing, you got this!
