The holidays are upon us, and we know how everyone loves a clean fur friend to spend this time with. We want to insure everyone that our cleaning and disinfecting policies have remained in place since the pandemic. The health and safety of pets in our care is very important to us. As pet owners you can help as well, by making sure your babies are current on all vaccines and leaving them home if they're not feeling well. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least a 24 hour notice so we have time to fill that spot. We appreciate and love you all. Happy Holidays 🥰

Featured Breed | The Maine C**n Cat

The Maine C**n Cat is a massive, broad-chested cat with a long rectangular body and the fur is long and flowing. The males average around 12 to 15 pounds, with some going 20 pounds or more. The females are smaller, averaging 9 to 12 pounds. The head is medium in width and length with a squareness to the muzzle. They are known for their sturdy, rugged appearance, which includes an uneven, shaggy coat of three distinct lengths and a long, well-furnished tail.

The Maine C**n Cat is a gentle, loyal breed. They make wonderful family pets and get along well with children and dogs. Depending on the breed of dog, the Maine C**n Cat can be bigger than Fido. They are a vocal breed, with a variety of meows, trills, and chirps to make up their vocabularies. They are sociable and like to help their owners with any project, especially when the owner is reading or working on the crossword puzzle.

Make sure you have your appointments pre-booked. Angel will the the only groomer, and space will be limited. We want to make sure all the fur babies are taken care of while Elizabeth is out. If you want to stop by and see the mom to be, she will be here until December 30th. 🥰

Just a friendly reminder 😊 make sure you keep up with your pet's flea control. Best way to prevent an infestation is to talk to your Veterinarian and get on proper flea prevention. The over the counter stuff isn't as effective these days. There are many options out there and we know it can be confusing, so always seek your Veterinarian's advice. We have seen a sudden increase of fleas lately and have had to send pets home. We know grooming is important, but we also like to keep our shop free from hitch hikers. 🥰

We have to brag about our amazing groomers for a minute!! We want to congratulate Angel and A***n for passing their first National Dog Groomers Association of America test!! You guys are one step closer to getting your Master Certification. Way to go ladies! Hard work and dedication pay off.

Angel is now a Certified Groomer in The Non-Sporting Group!!! Poodles and Bichons have always been one of her favorite breeds to groom, and has dedicated years in learning the art of hand sc******ng. Angel continues to push her skills and further her education in hopes of becoming a competitive groomer in the near future.

A***n has passed her practical test on Short Legged Terriers and her written test on the Terrier group!! She has a passion like none other when it comes to her Terrier friends. A***n will be moving and that makes us sad, but Washington will be getting one heck of a groomer. She loves to learn and is super excited about the grooming world that awaits her. I'm sure she will complete the rest of her testing and continue doing what she loves. We can't wait to see what she accomplishes in her career and how much she grows as a Groomer.
