Rascal is ready for adoption. He is the small chow we rescued with his ear flap torn off. He had surgery and is doing great now. Very sweet and loving boy about 30 lbs. Meet Rascal previously Rufus. We received an email from the shelter saying this boy had his ear ripped off, maggot infested and in pain and was going to be euthanized within a few hours. It was too severe for the shelter vet to treat. I rushed to the shelter and got him and drove directly to the ER. He was in awful pain and had to be carried in. He spent about a week and a half hospitalized at ER. Then he had to go back daily for wound treatment and bandage changes under sedation. Finally the surgeon thought it was possible to remove what was left of his ear and try to close up the enormous wound he had. Again he was hospitalized at ER. During all this he was a real trooper and never showed any aggression at all. All the vets and vet techs commented on what a good boy he is. He is a small chow who came to us at 25 lbs and is most likely 30 pounds now. He is now feeling good and doing zoomies in the yard. They had to shave down half of his head and his tail but that little tail still wags! He is such a cuddle bug and loves to be near people and get belly rubs. WARNING the last two pictures are graphic and may not be suitable for some to view. This is the shape he was in when rescued. Now he is a happy boy. ❤️💙❤️💙❤️💙

Meet Brewley our newest rescue from San Luis Obispo shelter. He had a long transport to his foster home and spent the first night with Robin S who had adopted Amber from us. Transport had 3 legs to get him to his foster. Thank you to Debi, Hallie, Robin S, and his last transport Lisa. Lisa fell in love with him and wanted to adopt him. Lucky boy never made it to his foster but went to his adoptive home instead! He is very friendly and loves other dogs. He has a doggie sister now in his new home. Congratulations Brewley!

Welcome Hudson from Porterville shelter. We were able to rescue this dog and people friendly boy because of temporary foster's Jenna and Krutika. He needs entropion eye surgery on both eyes so he won't be in pain anymore. We have this scheduled but can use some help with the cost. Welcome to Chows Plus Cash! This boy is out of the Riverside shelter and alive thanks to Stephanie who offered to foster him!
It took a lot of people to get him out. Thank you to Robin who put in many hours working on helping him. Thank you to Julie for going to video, pick him up and temporarily foster. And a big thank you to Stephanie who is his foster Mom. We had posted him needing a foster to get out alive. Happy he is out of doggie jail and now has wonderful new life ahead!😍
