Augustine Regional Veterinary Emergency Center now has a new location! Augustine FL 32084. We are across the street from St. Johns Veterinary Hospital, in the brick business center. Our caring staff provides quality emergency veterinary care to all St. John's County as well as our surrounding counties. We have 14 member hospitals located throughout St. John's County & Flagler County that refer th

eir clients to us on an emergency basis. Here at St. Augustine Regional Veterinary Emergency Center we have the capability of performing diagnostics including in house bloodwork, digital radiographs (x-rays) and ultrasound. We have a surgical suite equipped with an anesthesia machine, heated surgical table and EKG machine. Our treatment room is equipped with a top of the line oxygen cage and a second anesthesia machine. We proudly accept Care Credit, Scratchpay, as well as cash, credit/debit cards and checks. Valid government issued photo ID is required for any payments made other than cash.

The owner has been located and they are reunited

This sweet boy was brought into our clinic last night by a good samaritan. He was found at 24 Eastman Street in St. Augustine. He has a microchip and collar with a nametag, but unfortunately the chip is not registered and there is no number on the tag. Unfortunately, since we do not have the facilities to hold pets and are closed during the day with no one to care for the animal, animal control has been contacted to take him to the pet center. If you have any information about this sweet boy, please call the clinic after 6pm at 904-797-5770 or you can message us on Facebook and we will respond as soon as possible.

Community Notice:

Back in March we lost K-9 officer Kilo. He was not only an amazing dog and officer, but he was also a huge presence in our community. His loss was devastating to everyone. We were recently approached by his handlers who wanted to continue to keep Kilo's presence in the community going strong. They are making dog treats, affectionaly know as Kilo's Kookies. They are available for purchase in our lobby. All of the proceeds from Kilo's Kookies goes to our Sam's fund. Sam's fund is a donation program we offer at St. Augustine Regional Veterinary Emergency Center to help provide medical care for patients and clients that are struggling financially. If you have any questions about Kilo's Kookies or about Sam's fund donation please reach out to our staff members.

We wanted to let out community know that our microchip reader is currently broken and unable to read. We are working on getting a replacement as soon as we can. We apologize for the inconvenience as we can not check for microchips on lost and found animals at the moment. We will keep the community updated when we have a replacement. In the mean time you can have microchips checked on lost and found animals at other day practice clinics, animal control, and most rescues. Thank you for your understanding.

Starting in February, we will start opening at 2pm on Fridays. Although it will be a slow process, this is the start of us expanding our hours to better serve our community and assist our local veterinary clinics with unexpected emergencies and overflow. We will be opening Friday, December 22 at 6pm and we will stay open 24 hours until Tuesday December 26 when we close at 8am. We will then return to regular bussines hours.

Due to the increase in cases of CIRDC (canine infectious respiratory disease complex), we are asking our clients to take the following steps when arriving at our clinic.
If your dog is experiencing any of the following signs:
• Coughing
• Sneezing
• Eye and/or Nasal discharge
• Labored breathing
• Lethargy
• Decreased appetite

OR if your dog frequents or has recently been to dog parks, boarding facilities, and/or has been traveling, and has not been vaccinated please take to following steps…
Upon arriving at St. Augustine Regional Veterinary Emergency Center, we ask that you please remain in your car and call us at time of arrival. Our receptionist will come out to give you paperwork to complete and help get you checked in. We ask that keep your dog in the vehicle until a technician can come out and assist you.

To avoid spreading illnesses to our clients and employees, we highly encourage our staff to call out when sick. Currently, we are running on a skeleton crew for that exact reason. Please be patient with our staff as they work as hard and efficiently as possible to take care of our clients and patients needs and remember that we are an ER and triage our patients, meaning that we can not always see patients on a first come, first served basis. Longer than normal wait times are to be expected while working with a skeleton crew.

11/08/23: We potentially have contact with this baby's owners. We will update his picture once confirmed. Thank you to everyone reaching out and wanting to help and love this sweet boy.

We have a doctor taking him home and she will be treating him for his dental disease and eye issues. If you are interested in adopting him after the 10 day hold and the doctor does not keep him, please message us with your contact information so that we may forward it to our doctor.

We are looking for this sweet baby's owner. He was dropped at our clinic with no information last night. He has a microchip, but no contact information attached to the chip. He is such a sweet old man and we know he is missing his home. If this is your pet or you have any information please contact our clinic.
