Merry Christmas from Lacey and Rosie!!! 2023 was a rough year for our family, so it was a good thing we didn't have puppies. However, we are planning a Feb/March breeding! We will keep you all posted! We hope you all have a very blessed new year!

Little Miss Rosie got a hair cut and bath today. She laid down for almost all of the haircut. 😂

I took Rosie to the vet today as she needed a bordetella vaccine for her next training course. I let the vet know that she just started her heat cycle today and I was hoping it would trigger Lacey. I explained that it has been 8 months since her last cycle and he said 8-10 months is not uncommon in dogs. I was glad to hear that as I've been getting nervous!!! She has always been every 7 months!

Well, after 18 weeks of training, RegalAire's Rose (Rosie) has passed her trick class, beginners, intermediate, and advanced training courses. The advanced training test is almost the same as the Canine Good Citizen test, which is our next step. From there, we are moving onto getting her certification as a Therapy Dog. She's been proving she can do it and impresses me often! I'm extremely thankful for all of the local businesses that allow pets as it is extremely important for our training! The trainer had all the dogs put on caps and gowns for graduation tonight. Enjoy!
I thought I would add that I don't support all PetSmart trainers. I found ours on the Canine Good Citizen website. I'm extremely happy with her. She is moving to a new facility in Waite Park and we will be going there as well.

I'm so thankful for such a large entryway at our house!!! Casey (yellow collar) was able to come up for a visit. These three played almost non-stop!!! Casey loved our big fenced in yard full of SNOW! He taught his mom and sister how to ring the bell to go out and play. 😁 Left to right: Rosie, Lacey, Casey.

Thank you to all of you for being patient with my updates. Life threw us some scary curve balls with 3 of our human children starting right before the school year started. However, everyone is on the road to recovery with one more surgery in February at the Mayo clinic. We were also blessed with our first grandchild, a little earlier than expected, but she is doing great! Her mama was one of our scares, but it's also doing great.

We were still able to get some training in with Rosie. As previously posted, she earned her Star Puppy certificate a while back and also passed her intermediate class at the beginning of December. The cold has me avoiding her outdoor practice. 😳 She just started her "Tricks" class last night and starts her Advanced class on Thursday. We will be very busy, but hopefully it keeps us progressing.

With how busy life became, I never posted the 6 month updates on the puppies. The number one comment I get from the new owners is how affectionate they are.

Moose's owner was guessing he weighed about 50 pounds at the beginning of November. I'm guessing he's probably around 55-56 pounds by now. She said he is a big boy and her best buddy.

Rosie (light purple collar)
Rosie is the little sq**rt we kept. She touched our hearts from the first day. Her umbilical cord started to bleed and scared us something terrible. We ended up getting some formula so we could supplement her feedings and give her the best chance. She now weighs 52 pounds and is 23.5 inches tall. I can't bear to see her puppy fuzz go away, so we haven't groomed her yet. She received her S.T.A.R. puppy certificate a while back and is currently in intermediate classes. She does great at class. She is signed up for advanced class, trick class, and therapy class. I have high expectations.

Casey was the runt. He was so tiny!! By 8 weeks he was starting to catch up and definitely trying to push around his litter mates a little. He still liked to cuddle though. He now weighs 63.4 pounds and stands 26 inches at the shoulder. He went to live in Iowa with my parents. He keeps them laughing and active! He loves to be with them and lays by the door if one of them leaves. He's completed the first round of training classes and knows a lot of tricks. He is also great with their little great grandchildren.

Mario is living the life of his dreams in Idaho. He's very happy and sweet. (He was always sweet). He is 25 inches at the shoulder and weighs 48.6 pounds. He plays with his airedoodle sibling and gets to play with the grandson's dog as well.

Happy 6 month birthday, puppies!!!! I can't believe it's been 6 months already. I'll be posting puppy updates as they come in! 🥰 The number one comment I hear is how much the puppies love to be with their people! They are affectionate and so happy! I'm a little surprised at how tall the males have gotten!
