😻😻 Wishful Wednesday 😻😻

Wishful thoughts 💭 from the kitten room this wonderful Wednesday morning: wishing that their hard food and litter stock could be refilled again!!!! Our kitten room is growing so fast, and each week they eat more and more as they grow into big kits! 💪 We have quite a few kittens who will be with us a while, as we work to navigate health issues and defects; and have lots that are just patiently waiting for their furrrever homes still! With having so many kittens eating so much, it’s extremely hard to keep their food and litter stocked! Our adult cats also prefer this food and so we have all rooms and fosters needing a restock of our hard food!

Can you help us restock their hard food and litter pantry??? Lucky, T.J, and Chrissy would be furever thankful for their kitty friends in the fun kitten room! The kittens are eating SO much of the Purina One Healthy Kitten Food and use clumping litter!

Willow and Clive, a bonded mother-son duo looking for their forever home together!

Willow (gray) is a female estimated to be 3 years old. She is outgoing, friendly, and affectionate and loves chin scratches!

Clive (black) is a male estimated to be 1 year old. Clive tends to be shy at first, but once he feels comfortable and secure, he is just as loving as his mama. Clive can be won over with a little time, patience, and treats!

Both Willow and Clive can be skittish, so they would do best in a quiet environment without young kids. They are good with other cats and with dogs, but they would be happiest with a relaxed dog that is less likely to spook them.

They are spayed/neutered and fully vetted. Their adoption fee is $250 and covers both cats. Since they are a bonded pair, they will need to go home together.

Willow and Clive would love to meet you! Contact us for more information and to schedule a meet and greet with these lovers! 😻😻

😻😻Coco Update 😻😻

Coco’s new name is Binx, aka Baby Binx! It is extremely fitting for him and suites his sweet personality so much!

Binx is still improving and doing so well! He stopped eating on me, and it was a trial and error to figure out what he liked and we finally hit the jackpot! He does require raised dishes to help him to eat and drink due to his head tilt and neurological issues. But those are improving! He will likely always have the head tilt, and may need lots of adjustments in the world, but nothing stops this kiddo!

He is absolutely the most affectionate boy around. All he wants is to be cuddled in your lap, making BIG biscuits and purring loudly! He hasn’t quite figured out the coordination for playing yet, as he’s still a little wobbly. But he will get there! He will be playing in no time!

Binx’s medical care and follow up appointments have been extensive and will continue to be. We are still looking for a lot of financial support to help us continue the care Binx needs going forward! If you can help, please donate to the following spots below ⬇️

😻😻Coco Update 😻😻

Coco was discharged yesterday to come home to rescue!! I sure have missed this little spunky peanut!!

Coco saw both dermatology and neurology and we have been given a treatment plan I’m hopeful will work! Coco had his ear procedure, that consisted of flushing and cleaning out his ears and inserting medications deep into his central ear to start treatment. His head tilt is still present but he’s able to stand and walk more consistently now and is getting his balance back day by day since his procedure. He is on several antibiotics and steroids for the foreseeable future, as we continue to bring his neurological signs back down! He most likely will always have his cute little head tilt but hopefully his neurological signs continue to improve and go away eventually!

His stay and care has been quite an expensive undertaking, and we are still in need of a LOT of donations to help cover his expenses! Please continue to share and donate if you are able too! Our outstanding medical bills, prevents us from helping other kittens in need until we can get our bills covered!

Coco remains in the ICU this week, and is scheduled for his CT scan and ear clean out tomorrow with dermatology! Little man is such a trooper! He is still the most affectionate and sweetest boy the hospital reports! He is still on pain medications, fluids, antibiotics and nausea medications to help with his dizziness sick feeling. He got to avoid an NG feeding tube because they’ve been able to keep him eating like a champ! This little fighter has been worth every penny, but his financial expenses continue to grow while we try to figure out what’s going on with him and what’s needed to pull him through this tough time! Please consider donating and sharing to help Coco’s recovery! ❤️‍🩹

Our little Coco baby could use your help more than ever before!!

Coco declined again extremely quickly and was rushed back to the hospital this morning. He was unable to stand up again and lost all balance and ability to eat or drink again. He was still trying to purr and make biscuits the whole time though this morning 🥹🥹 he has the sweetest and I mean SWEETEST personality ever and deserves a fighting chance through this! He is showing every sign he wants to continue this fight and as long as he does, so will we. But we need the SUPPORT of YOU all to continue to fight for Coco’s life!

PLEASE continue to help donate and share our fundraisers to help pull Coco through this extremely hard time 🥹 Doctors suspect his infection has traveled either to his bone in his ear, or there is a botfly in his ear that’s on the move. He is currently at St Paul AERC, but will be transferred to Oakdale tomorrow morning to have his consult with dermatology and potentially MRI and other testing done to see what he needs. He has a long week ahead of him in ICU while they try to figure out what he needs to pull through this 😭

My heart is shattered. This boy deserves this more than anything and he is the cutest little fighter. Please help us!

Another day, another big rescue 😻😻

Meet Coco! The cutest little boy!! Coco was brought to the ER last night, after being found with a severe head tilt, vestibular response and eye fluttering. Coco wasn’t able to walk or eat 😥 He had a severely high fever and extremely dehydrated. Baby boy has been in the ICU since last night, with IV fluids, antibiotics and pain medications while we tried to figure out what is going on with this precious boy.

Coco has a severe central ear infection and ruptured right ear drum. He is not out of the woods yet, and will need extensive follow up care following hospital discharge. He will need to see Dermatology to get sedated for ear treatment and follow up and will need to remain on antibiotics and pain medications. He was an unexpected rescue last night to us, but one that very clearly needed our help and urgently! Welcome to rescue little one! You are loved, warm, safe and well cared for now!

If you can donate to Coco’s growing medical expenses, please see our ways to donate! He will have lots of continued medical expenses that we could greatly use some help with!

Mama Sylvia 😻😻

You are killin my heart sweet girl! I got to go visit her today, and she is still not looking too hot! She’s such a sweet mama, for coming to me “semi feral”. She sure does know we are trying our best to pull her through whatever is causing her to feel so lousy.

She has started eating some on her own, but still requires supplemental tube feedings. She still has a slight fever but is responding to the IV medications well. She will get an ultrasound tomorrow, and I sure pray it gives us more answers.

Unfortunately, we have lost 6 of her 8 babies so far, and suspecting we will loose a 7th in the next 24 hours. We have one stronger one we suspect will be the only survivor.

We would greatly appreciate the continued support of financial donations for mamas critical care right now. Please share and donate if you can! Anyrhing helps. And thank you to all of you who have already donated to her care, we couldn’t do this without the continued support.

The brutally tough weekend continues.

Mama Sylvia was declining on me again, and she was rushed to the emergency room this morning. She’s on day 8 of not eating on her own, and explosive diarrhea and lethargy.

Mama was admitted to the ICU this morning in critical condition. She is critically anemic and has a high fever. They suspect blood build up in her uterus but they haven’t figured exactly where and cause yet. She had an NG feeding tube placed today, to get food going and medications. She will more than likely go under a blood transfusion as well this weekend.

As of now, we have lost 5 of her 8 babies, and we suspect to loose another one who’s been crashing this evening. Her babies are also in very critical condition and are being worked on my experterts who can tube feed and keep them going as much as possible.

In rescue, our goal is to save them all. The reality is that we know we can’t. For some reason this case has been the toughest and hardest one to come to me ever. I have been extremely lucky in my 4 years working with mamas, but this one hurts more than ever before. I keep praying we can save mom and any remaining babies if possible.

Please help us save Sylvia’s life, by donating to her emergency care! We can’t do this for her without the support of all of you!

Today was brutal; it was exhausting and emotionally devastating. Today was one of those days that make me question doing rescue. It’s the side of rescue no one talks about or understands until you are living in those moments.

Today, 4 little ones gained their angel wings. Mama Sylvia was trying her best to take care of everyone but she is not doing well herself and not hanging on great either so caring for 8 newborns was a lot for her poor sick body 😢😢

The other 4 are still in the critical period and are trying to fight through this. Mama Sylvia is trying to fight right now too. I have started syringe feeding her again and getting meds into her to keep her up and running. It’s been a very exhausting and tough week here and we could really use some encouragement and support! We have so much going on and loosing some today was not what we had hoped for, but this is the tough part of rescue. We can’t save them all.

Although today was tough, watching the most amazing people come to my aide today and try to pull these babies through and to support me while I struggled today was a reminder at how amazing the rescue community is. I cannot thank you both for stepping in and helping as much as you could today. I couldn’t do this without you two.

We have had an eventful day over here today 😻😻

I am exhausted. But Mama Sylvia has got to be even more exhausted! She was scheduled to have a C-Section today, which she must have heard me say and decided that wasn’t an option. She delivered 8 little sweet babies overnight!!! Sylvia was not in the best of health prior to delivery, so delivery was challenging and brutal on her. She was so weak and exhausted from pushing 8 babies out, that she did not have the energy to properly bite off the babies umbilical cords with the sack attached, so when I got to them this morning she needed lots of help with that. Which was my first 😅 it was extremely stressful there for a little while, getting everyone settled down and babies cleaned and warmed up. Mama Sylvia was not looking great at all, so she and babies were rushed up to the clinic to be evaluated and checked out.

Mamas lab work came back surprisingly great, and was negative for everything. She got fluids to rehydrate her and perked up more for them. She soon after took all babies into her care and has been feeding them since. She’s doing a great job! Hoping we can get her eating by this evening or tomorrow.

Great job mama Sylvia! Way to keep 8 babies alive and healthy during a stressful week for you! You are a trooper! And thank you for knowing we wanted to avoid a C-section today 😉😉

Please consider donating towards Sylvia’s vet care this week, and the continued care for her and her babies 😻😻

Mama Sylvia could really use some support this week!

Sylvia was at the vet yesterday, for not eating since Friday night. We confirmed 7 babies on board, almost full to term. She was given anti nausea injections and B12 shot and came home hopeful she would get back on track eating. Unfortunately, those injections didn’t work, and I repeated those medications along with an appetite stimulant for her today again hopeful she’d decide to eat and then the corner. Unfortunately, she is still unwilling to eat and is not showing signs of labor either. Today I began syringe feeding her, just to get some nutrients in her so she doesn’t crash on us anymore than she already is. Syringe feeding a semi-feral mama isn’t easy! And makes me quite nervous and is very stressful! 😩 She requires feedings every 3 hours as of now until we can come up with a safety plan tomorrow morning with the vet for her.

Tomorrow we will discuss with the vet again on our plans for her and her babies. We anticipate a C-Section to happen this week, and potentially even a NG feeding tube for mama- meaning we potentially will have 7 babies to bottle feed if we can’t get mom uo and running and doing better. We are in for a very critical few days here with mama Sylvia and I have never been so worried or stressed about a mama in our care before.

We could really use some financial support, to help with mamas emergency care this week and surgery. I am hopeful we can pull her and all 7 babies through this tough time, but I am fully aware of the risk and fight we are up against right now with mama and all of her precious babies inside.

If you are able to donate and support Sylvia’s emergency care this week, please see ways to donate below. If you can’t donate financially, but can support by donating supplies or spreading the word on the need for support right now is greatly appreciated.

😻😻Welcome to rescue Mama Sylvia 😻😻

Mama Sylvia has had several litters already, and has a big litter of kitties baking in her oven right now!

Sylvia is expecting 7 kittens any day now! However, Sylvia isn’t doing the greatest. She’s not eating and has no appetite to even try to eat. She’s having lots of accidents and can’t control her bladder/bowels well right now. She’s really struggling with so many kittens in there!

We are hoping to get her feeling better to eat and continue to gain strength for her delivery. If we need too, we will need to do a C-section for her delivery but I am hopeful we can avoid that.

Sylvia could really use some healing thoughts and support right now!
