Everyone has gone home (with the exception of Murphy who gets to hang out a bit longer). It’s weird not having all the babies playing, running, barking and expressing themselves.

It has been such an incredible honor to have each puppy for the time they were here. I have loved every single moment. Each puppy brought me love, joy and happiness - my heart overflowed…

I also want to thank each family for being patient with me as I moved through the passing of my father.

Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads of humans and dogs. Thank you for your love, protection and strength. You are seen, your are held and you are loved. 💖☀️💖

Hi everyone! I want to speak about a few things…

First of all I apologize to the families of Mayas first litter that were not celebrated for their 1st birthday yesterday. I am working a post that I will share shortly.

Secondly, my Father passed away May 29, 2024 late evening. I was his primary caregiver while he was on hospice. I was blessed to be able to hold his hand as he transitioned from this life and into the next.

I am going to take a few days to feel into everything, while also grounding myself and becoming present with my new reality.

Thirdly, Saffron is seeking her forever family. She is an incredible sweetheart and a total joy to spend time with.

I love you all so very much. I am incredibly grateful for all of your love and support over the years.

I am a little slower this week than I would like. 🤷‍♀️ Each puppy is doing amazingly well. They are eating puppy food on a regular basis (while still nursing a few times per day). They play with toys, howl, run, jump and are seriously ADORABLE!!! 🐾😍❤️😍🐾

On days when my energy feels a bit heavier than normal I love to sit and hold them, or even just go climb in with them and receive all the puppy love that I can. Best therapy ever!!! 😁💗🐾

The love and companionship of a dog is one of the greatest gifts we are blessed to receive.

Paprika and Saffron are seeking their forever families to love, care for and protect.

Yesterday we experienced a few new things… Puppy “potty training” and a cat. The safest and easiest way to begin potty train a young puppy is with a “litter box”. We use an alfalfa/ timmothy grass pellet mixture - this smells and behaves the most like grass. It’s safe because the puppies aren’t old enough to go outside, and they aren’t exposed to anything potentially harmful. Puppy potty training isn’t a lot of fun. In the beginning it’s a lot of work, but it’s very helpful at keeping their space clean. The puppies didn’t care too much about the cat, and the cat didn’t really care about the puppies - but on an 1:1 basis this cat will sleep next to them. Over the next few days we will be doing a lot of desensitizing training, cat training, litter box training.
