Bunny update! Bugs is a girl! I’ve officially decided to name her Flower. She really is my best buddy, and her ears crack me up. She is 6 weeks old today, and doing great! I’m so proud of her 💕

Unfortunately, earlier this month, Poppy rejected her litter. Out of the three only this little baby was found alive. It was absolutely heartbreaking to discover, and heartbreaking to break the news to interested families. I try my hardest to make sure my mommas get everything they could need to successfully raise their litters. Thankfully Poppy is healthy and well.

The past 3 weeks caring for this baby have been so stressful! I’ve cried over this baby, lost sleep over this baby. I have dedicated so much time to hand rearing this baby. And so far, so good. Enjoy some pictures of “Bugs” growing up. Although I’m not sure we’re out of the woods yet, I am hopeful that Bugs will thrive and I have been in contact with a local vet to schedule a check up soon. Bugs has found his forever home with me as I’ve grown so attached to him!

With all the heartbreak and stress related to this, I have officially decided that I will no longer be raising Holland Lops. I thank everyone who has supported me along the way and who share updates about their bunnies from me! I will be posting updates on Bugs’ journey as time goes on. ❤️

It’s been a while!

I wanted to hop on here and share some updates and changes that will be happening to Lighthouse Lops!

▪️Firstly, I have significantly downsized! I plan to just have one trio at a time. This will make it easier to plan litters and produce quality stock. It will also help ensure that all of my babies go to excellent homes. I’m lucky to have had awesome families already get my bunnies and I want to keep it that way! A few of my retired bunnies found AWESOME homes. I’m so happy for them!

▪️There will be no online/facebook sales. All bunnies will need to be purchased at Redbird in Alma when the bunnies are ready to hop.

▪️Buyer contracts will need to be signed in order to bring a bunny home. This makes sure the buyer and myself are on the same page with everything!

▪️I’m thinking of adding another breed to my program. Stay tuned!

▪️I have also recently acquired a trio of guinea pigs. Stay tuned!

Thank you to everyone still on this page. I finished college and things got a little crazy so I needed to take a break from breeding! Our next litter is expected the 4th week of November. Maybe we will have Thanksgiving babies? 🥰

Up for discussion! Fully pedigreed harlequin Holland Lop buck. Parents are chocolate magpie and broken black tort. This cute little guy comes right up to the door to say hi and loves head scratches. Would love to see him in a pet home, otherwise I think he would be paired well with a stout doe with good mass and shorter ears as his are a bit long and he is lacking mass. However, he still has a lot of growing to do! Born March 15, 2023. Message me for more details if interested! ❤️

What happens when there’s a rabbit show only 5 minutes away? You go… even when you know you shouldn’t! This cute little orange buck joined the crew today.❤️ I’m super excited to pair him with Confetti and see what he produces!

It was a great day at Lighthouse Lops! One of Confetti’s babies, Pebbles, went home! I also received an update about one of Diva’s babies, Penelope! Both bunnies are so so loved and so spoiled!! It makes me so happy knowing these babies have such amazing homes. Being able to give people the opportunity to own bunnies makes my heart so happy.

Both of these buns were picked out pretty early, and I am so grateful that everything worked out for them to be cared for by such great people ❤️ thank you everyone!

The buns and I have some very exciting news… we moved!! It took some convincing, but my bosses finally gave me the “ok” to move the bunnies into their extra building!! I’m happy that my bunnies will get to live in a quieter environment with access to natural light ❤️ eventually I hope to set up a large play area so they can enjoy more time out of their cages. I’m so excited for the future of Lighthouse Lops!

To my customers getting bunnies soon, we will still meet at Redbird for pickup! Feel free to message me if you have any other questions. ❤️

And to add, my bunnies use water bowls. I had taken them out to move cages, and took this picture before I put their bowls back in the cages. They get their water bowls scrubbed and refilled every day! I also decided to wait until they were moved to refill their hay feeders. Everyone is settling in great! ❤️

Looks like we’re going to have some cute colors in Linda’s litter! ❤️

The kits are 3 days old today. So far 6/8 are looking good, but unfortunately there are 2 that are significantly smaller than the others. I decided not to post pictures of those babies. I am hopeful that they will fatten up soon, but only time will tell.

Had a great surprise this morning! Linda had 8 perfect little babies throughout the night! I’m absolutely over the moon, as I normally get 1-3 kits per litter. Extra snacks for Linda today!! ❤️

I will post more pictures of babies next week once I know they are all thriving!

I remember saying, “I’m only keeping ONE baby from Confetti’s litter, and only if it’s a doe.”

Well anyways, here are the two bucks I’m keeping from her litter! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 seriously though, at 4 weeks, these babies are sturdy. I just couldn’t let the first one go. And the second boy has some colors to die for. ❤️

This baby… I told myself I would only keep this one if he was a doe. Of course, (I think) he’s a buck. He’s out of two of my favorite rabbits, and my first Harlequin produced in my breeding program. Still thinking he might stick around 💕

Whoever gets this sweet girl is going to be so lucky! Not only is she sooo cute, she is extra sweet and calm too 💕 I absolutely adore her ❤️

Getting my baby bunny therapy in 💕 I believe both of these babies are girls. They sure are the sweetest little things!

Tried something new for enrichment. Was super cute watching Confetti try and figure it out ❤️🐰

As I keep acquiring buns, I need more space for cages. I built this cage stand today and I’m super happy with it! 👍🏼 And now I have more room for bunnies… score! 🐰

Hopefully this is a good sign! 😁 Confetti wasted no time preparing her nest box 💕 hopefully she will have a beautiful and healthy litter this weekend🐰❤️
