Let's talk about this special boy! Finnick is a Red Brindle Dapple or he could also be a Cream Brindle Dapple(testing would need to be done for certain) You can see Finnick has many spots. If you look inside those spots, you will see the brindle pattern.

Brindle dapple dachshunds have brindle and dapple coat patterns. Brindle is a pattern of dark strips over a base color producing the Tiger Stripe pattern. Dapple is a pattern of lighter areas contrasting (normally in a form of a circle)with a darker base color.

Brindle Dachshunds were popular because of their unusual color and pattern. They gained extreme popularity before World War I, after which their popularity decreased due to their connections with Germany(origin).

However, people became fond of these dogs again when they were introduced at the Munich Olympic Games in 1972.

Back story Michaela and I had many conversations and photo exchanges on which dacshunds to select for our programs so we are very happy with the unique color combinations Luna, Canelo and Elsa have produced. These are not your ordinary color patterns 🥰

Bruno may look like your average piebald, but he is so much more. If you look closely, you can see the brown areas on his cheeks are actually the brindle markings! Meaning he is a Black and Tan Brindle Piebald.

I know a lot have been messaging about faces so here are the faces of 2 still available! Sweetie and Bruno.

Fun fact what is that black cord? That is where the placenta was attached. All moms chew away the cords and leave a tiny nub, this heals just like a baby's belly button and will eventually fall off.
