Indian Almond leaves also known as Catappa leaves make a great addition to almost any aquarium! Over time the dried leaf will slowly decompose in your tank, releasing tannins and other beneficial compounds which can help lower ph, soften water, promote breeding, and much more! With antimicrobial and anti-fungal properties, Indian Almond leaves also do a great job preventing fungal, bacterial and even parasitic disease! I use Indian almond leaves in almost all of my tanks, they help keep my water soft and ph low for my rams, they act as a hiding spot and food source for my plecos and shrimp, and on top of the countless other benefits I love the natural look and feel they give my tanks!
