This is a list of what is currently available for adoption in Adoption Island! We'll try to keep this listed updated, but with how busy we are we likely will have more than what's pictured.

To adopt an animal, we require that you bring a picture of your setup (or you can purchase one in our store!) so we can ensure they're going to an appropriate habitat.

Out-of-state? Please email a picture of your habitat (include dimensions if possible) to us at [email protected] and include which animal you'd like to adopt in the Subject line. If you're approved for adoption, we can arrange to ship them to you!

Minimum enclosure sizes for some of our more common reptiles are as follows:
Baby bearded dragons: 20 gallon
Adult bearded dragons: 4x2x2'
Adult leopard geckos: 30x12", but 36x18x18" preferred.
Snakes: The current length of the snake must be equal to or less than the length of the longest side of the enclosure (i.e. a 4' long enclosure for a 4' long snake).

Due to limited space in our store area, many of our adoptable animals are in back. If you'd like to meet one but can't see them on the sales floor, just ask!

The counts are in- we adopted out 876 animals in 2024! Another record! 🤯 125 of which were bearded dragons!

Thank you to EVERYONE for making these rescue stories possible. Whether you watch our videos, shop at our store, visit the zoo, donate to Adoption Island, or even just spread word about our available reptiles, we are incredibly thankful for your support! You're literally helping us save lives 💓

We can't believe how generous you all are- thank you *so incredibly much* for the donated supplies for our rescued reptiles! ❤️ It will all go to good use, including the snacks sent for our amazing staff who take care of the animals 😉
As we opened the snacks, Haley even said "Aw, they know the way to our heart!" 😂

One bonus shoutout to Winifred, the very sweet ball python in our rescue looking for his/her new home. FOUND ANIMAL: Ball python
This beautiful girl was found in an apartment complex today. Unfortunately the person who found/surrendered her left before saying where/which building.

If this is your ball python (suspected fire morph), please contact us to claim. You'll need to provide a picture to confirm it's the same animal. After 2 weeks, it will enter our adoption program if still unclaimed.

Help us find her owner!

Your kindness helps with their rehabilitation when needed, and keeps them warm and happy until they find new homes! Your personalized messages are so sweet 🥰

You all keep surprising us with your generosity!! 🥹 We had another batch of donated rescue supplies come in last week, and we will absolutely be able to use ALL of it for our rescued animals!! We love reading everyone's notes that get sent with! A couple incredibly thoughtful fans also sent snacks for our staff, which was greatly appreciated 😆 And to whoever setup a monthly subscription of paper towels for us- you are amazing!!

For those who are curious what some of the items on the wishlist are used for, here's what they do!
Paper towels- Cleaning all sorts of messes, disinfecting cages after adoption, disinfecting the intake table, etc.
Chef Squeeze bottle- Crested gecko diet portioner
Citrus Spray- To help with smelly bearded dragon poops ;)
Pink cards- Used as ID cards for each surrendered animal
🧼Soap- We have So. Many. Dishes to clean😳
Tape- Used to tape reminders on enclosures, tape down lids for new surrenders if needed, labeling things temporarily, and everything in-between. We really use tape a lot 😅
