Let’s Help These Pups Feel Better and Find Home. 🐾♥️

These five sweet dogs have been through enough already. They deserve a chance at healing and a happy future. If you’re able to help or even just share, it could make a world of difference.

Please donate to Five Acres Animal Shelter and help them heal.

Five Acres currently has five dogs who need urgent treatment. They have each tested positive for heartworm disease, a potentially fatal disease when left untreated ❤️‍🩹 This includes Turnip, Radish, Biscuit, and Marley who were all transferred from rural animal control facilities, and Thalia who was rescued from living outdoors in the cold.

These dogs have already been through so much, and have one more hurdle to overcome before they start their next happy chapter. The treatment process is lengthy, uncomfortable, and costly - each of these dogs will be in our care for at least another three months. But with your help, we can ensure these dogs receive the care they deserve.

Our Goal: Raise $2,500 to cover the medical expenses for these five dogs. Every dollar counts, and your contribution will bring them closer to finding their forever homes.

Would You Know What to Do if Your Dog Ate Something Toxic?

In a moment of curiosity, your dog might chew on something dangerous—but would you know what to do next?

Here’s your action plan:

1. Stay calm—your pet needs you focused.

2. Call ASPCA Poison Control: 888-426-4435.
They’ll ask about your pet’s weight, what was eaten, how much, and when.

3. Follow their advice:
If it's not toxic or a small amount, you may just need to monitor your pup at home.

If it was toxic, head to the ER ASAP! Call ahead so the vet can prepare. Bring any packaging or info on what was consumed.

Don’t wait for symptoms—faster action means better outcomes.
