It all began when two individuals, each with their unique experiences in the industry, came together with a shared vision. From that incredible moment, our business took off! 🛫

Meet our OG team members, Mufasa and Aloe! These two incredible dogs are more than just pets; they are the driving force behind our training philosophy and the heart of our company. ❤️

Every lesson we’ve learned, every training technique we’ve perfected, has been inspired by their unique personalities and challenges. Mufasa’s unwavering loyalty and Aloe’s playful spirit have guided us in developing effective, compassionate training methods that we proudly share with our clients.

We’re grateful for their presence on this journey, and we’re committed to passing on that knowledge to help every dog and owner thrive together!

Training is not a sprint; it’s a marathon. Each step forward, no matter how small, is a victory worthy of celebration. Maybe your dog learned to sit on command today or made eye contact for the first time during training. Take a moment to appreciate these milestones—acknowledge your dog’s effort and your hard work as a handler.

🕰️ Allow for Reflection: When you slow down, you create an opportunity to reflect on progress. This helps reinforce positive behaviors and deepens your bond with your canine companion. Remember, it’s about building trust and understanding, which takes T I M E.

Aloe ✨ my soul dog.

Meet Aloe, the remarkable 6-year-old Malinois who embodies the perfect balance between sweetness and a touch of mischief.

Aloe has a gentle nature that shines both on and off the training field, making her a beloved companion in any setting.

One of Aloe’s shining moments is her annual participation in the Great American Teach-Ins at various elementary schools, where her presence brings joy and learning to many young minds.

Her love for work knows no bounds, whether it’s engaging in bite work, showcasing her obedience skills, or simply accompanying me on everyday errands like a pro.

If you’ve been downwind of this dog or on the receiving end of her bite, you truly know the little demon that lives inside this butterfly we see off the field.

If you’re a client of ours, you’ve seen Aloe work as a distraction for your pup as they graduate our programs.

She stays busy around here!

Aloe’s list of accolades is truly impressive:

In 2021, she achieved the title of the fastest Malinois in the world, showcasing her incredible speed and agility.

Additionally, she has excelled in advancing to the National Dock Diving level, demonstrating her versatility and athleticism.

Earlier this year Aloe was found via social media and recruited to be on set with our favorite outdoor company. Her debut airs this month & we can’t wait to share with you!

From her exceptional achievements to her charming demeanor, Aloe is truly a one-of-a-kind companion who leaves a lasting impression wherever she goes.

I love this dog more than I could ever put into words. Lucky to own her 💕

Today during a consult I was asked what my favorite command is and why. 100% the house/kennel command.
🐾
The house command creates such structure for your dog. Allows your dog to build confidence being alone, gives a safe space for the dog, allows the dog to get ample rest, and it can also be used a reset/time out.

Giving your dog a kennel allows the dog to seek out alone time, peace & quiet, and somewhere to go when stressful situations in the home arise (doorbell rings, kids running around, etc).
🐾
A kennel command can also be used for mental stimulation or threshold training. Once the kennel command has been proofed, you can create some healthy mental stim for your dog by putting him in the kennel/ house command and leave the door open. From here build duration and distance between you and the kennel! This is requiring your dog to think & make the conscious decision to remain in the kennel command even though the door is open!

Does the size of the kennel matter? In my opinion, yes! A bit roomy, but not too roomy. Enough space to lay down comfortably but not enough space to spin in circles/ pace. Having too much room in the kennel could lead to anxious behaviors or allow the dog to build anxiety by pacing and spinning in circles.

Aloe loves her kennel! Her kennel door is always open and most of the time you can find her relaxing in the kennel or enjoying a bone in there.
