I'll never forget the year we woke up to find that our dog had torn open several of the kids presents under the tree. It was a few days before Christmas so we banished Booda outside for awhile and re-wrapped them. Years later, when my kids were older, they owned up to doing it, knowing Booda would get the blame. Poor dog!

That's okay, he got plenty of toys that year! 🐶

Every week, Chapo was super excited to see Bruce. He taught the two of us many new skills that we will continue to use daily. Bruce always made himself available at the last minute during difficult moments. Chapo has improved greatly with the training skills Bruce taught us. Bruce, or as we call him, Mr. Treats, has truly changed our dogs in an unbelievable way. The Groovy Dog Rules have helped us endlessly and they are techniques we practice daily.

Mr. Treats has become family to us. He has completely changed the way that our dogs walk outside, interact with other dogs and humans, respond and listen to us, and their overall attitudes.

Before knowing Bruce, our dogs were getting into a lot of trouble and never listened to any of us. But thanks to Mr. Treats and all of his dedication to our sessions and constantly going above and beyond to answer our questions and stay in touch with us as well as sending us helpful strategies, our dogs’ temperaments have changed for the better.

When choosing a dog trainer, it can be overwhelming and is a big decision, but our family would recommend Bruce each and every time and he will be your greatest asset when it comes to your furry friends. Mr. Treats, we appreciate you so much and we are so thankful for all of your dedication and care you have invested into our family.

They genuinely developed a relationship and he helped give us framework for how to deal with many of our dog's issues. I enjoy his training style as well as it truly teaches patience and an ethics of having your dog learn more from what they themselves are doing rather than us as owners. His goal was to get us to a point where we would not need to rely on him but he is so kind that he hasn't made us feel like we cannot still contact him if there are lingering issues. 𝐓𝐄𝐍 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐒 𝐀𝐆𝐎 𝐓𝐎𝐃𝐀𝐘 I happened upon this goofball strolling through the woods of north Florida. I was still grieving over the loss of Pip, my 12-year old BFF, the month before. Last thing in the world I was looking for was another dog, but there he was.

I stopped the car and called him over and he came right to me. I gave him a few pets and noticed he seemed to be searching my hand for food. Luckily, I had my treat bag in the back seat so I offered him a few handfuls, which he gobbled down gratefully. I couldn't just leave him there, so I gestured for him to jump into my hatch and he happily complied. Rode with me into Tallahassee and hung out in the car during a client session. Then I took him by my vet for a chip check (nada). Brought him home and took these pictures for the Lost Dog posting. Nobody ever claimed him. Nobody ever would. HE claimed ME.

Ten years on and he's still here, lying in his dog bed about 3 feet from me, snoring. Still going, still ornery, still my shadow. We rescued each other, and I'm eternally grateful.
