We train with a “family first” mentality which means we understand that in order to successfully train a dog, we must train the handlers on how to be the best owner for their dog. We operate through all 4 quadrants of operant conditioning. * Please note that all sessions will most likely be in the evenings (unless told otherwise) as our head trainer is active duty and gets off late.

out of the area but is still interested in our training services, we can come up with a plan that will best fit us all. Get to know the man of our team:
Our head trainer, Jay, is active-duty military as a mine detection dog handler. He graduated from engineer mine detection dog course as #1 in his class. Jay has attended the Deadpool Decoy Seminar. He is a training director for OWDC which is a successful working dog club here in Waynesville, Missouri. Jay has worked with numerous trainers out here in MO! Jay is a current member of PSA where he competes with his dog. He has plenty of hands-on experience working both with pet dogs and working dogs. He constantly keeps himself up to date on new training methods! Jay is a balanced trainer who uses multiple tools and techniques and can make dogs complete all tasks with heart & soul. Let’s become better owners for our dogs & see our pups become happier in life!

🚨* We have trained service dog prospects (they have been posted to our page) but, we do NOT certify them. We help owners train their service dog prospects to help them succeed to the level for certification.

We have not trained a service dog prospect that has not been posted on to our page here.

This post may confuse some people but we just needed to make this message very clear.

We just want to congratulate Pongo and his amazing family on finishing their basic obedience package!

Pongo came to us for a couple of behavior modifications and he is now excelling super well!

Pongo and his family has decided to continue on with training with us and we are very excited for this journey. Pongo’s family has put in so much time and effort and we love seeing their motivation and their dog progressing so well with training!! Pongo is definitely not the same dog anymore in a the best way possible.

Hello everyone. It’s Jalen the head trainer. I’m currently offering a trainers special on a shortened package deal. I am offering a 5 session package for either adult or puppy basic training. Package will equip you with the knowledge on maintaining a structured household for your dog and how to teach basic manners to your current dog and any future dog you might get. The price will be set at $120 for the 5 sessions. This is a first come first served deal meaning “the first one to fully book gets the deal”. There is only one spot for this deal currently which is why it’s on a first come first served. There will be more opportunities like this in the future.

Everyone meet our newest members! 🎉
This is Pongo, a 140lbs Great Dane but full of sweetness & brains and their amazing owners! 🤩

Pongo is here with us for some reactivity training but within TWO sessions, he is already learning to turn off pressure with the help of clear communication with e collar & pinch collar. We’ve done some obedience training as well and Pongo has killed it!
We can’t wait to see where they go with the already amazing progress! 😁

Catching up on some training sessions that we did at Lowe’s that we haven’t posted 😅

Luna the German shepherd did great on her session! We went to Lowe’s to do some environmental training. When she first started the program, she couldn’t be off leash without running off, door bolting, and did unwanted jumping on strangers but now, with one more session left this package, she can now be off leash in her yard without running away. Her owners are now equipped with tools to recall if an animal were to grab her attention while off leash, no longer door bolts, and she can go out in public without jumping on strangers!

Soka, the Great Dane did amazing as well during her session. Soka’s parents reached out to us when she was a very small pup to make sure they bring her up the right way so we introduced training to Soka from a very young age (but she’s still a puppy even though she’s big! Lol). Within a couple of sessions, Soka already knew to sit, down, come, and heel!! At Lowe’s we worked all of that but of course, in a different environment with different distractions. She crushed it! You should’ve seen this little pup heeling and weaving through multiple different isles without breaking position.

We’re very proud of both owners and their hard work they have put for their dogs! Dedication is key to a successful training.

Very proud to announce that our head trainer Jay just got his trainers certification through his never ending journey of education in dogs 🤩 the certification program he just went through has opened his eyes to new modern training styles that he finds fantastic and we can’t wait to offer that very soon to clients.

Here are some pictures we took of her when we took the dogs out to a new place & of course, got some training in. Lucy is very great with her environmentals and adjusts well!

This one is for the protection peeps…
On Friday, we had a very nice day out at training. Client wanted to do decoy neutrality work. This dog is known to turn on as soon as he sees a decoy however with patience and clear pictures, we made it through the whole session without the dog fully turning on to decoy! The most he did was look (with no active aggression)!

We are VERY proud to announce the last big news of the week. Two parts to it 😁

* Recently we decided to open up the amount of dogs we will train at once to include accepting board & trains. With that being said, we are FULL and can’t take any new clients at the moment. At this time, we are training a service dog prospect, pet, detection dog, and now, protection dog! 🤩

* Our new wonderful family is from out of state and we couldn’t be more thankful to have earned their trust. This is Lucy, a beautiful German Shepherd puppy! She’s going to be with us for a couple of months. During her time, she’s going to get her foundation in protection training. She’s going to learn beginning and advanced on and off leash obedience. This is going to be a very fun journey. Stay tuned for updates.

After a long, busy day yesterday, we found some time to take some quick pictures with our dogs for our page! I realized I have never formally introduced myself on here 😅 I‘m Eri! I take care of all the things for A&O. I‘m passionate about this new journey! I have been training my 6 year old Mal, Imma, to compete in PSA. I have multiple physical issues that causes a lot of pain so I am VERY grateful to have such a passionate husband that helps me train and support this business through thick and thin.

We appreciate the ongoing support from our newly formed family (our clients, friends, etc.) We see every single one of you! 🫶🏻

Ahsoka is our newest service dog prospect. She is rocking training so far! 🤩 Yesterday, she learned “sit”, “down”, “stand”, and even the beginning steps of “come” and “heel”!! Such a smart puppy and her handler is definitely doing a great job keeping the training up in between! 😌

A HUGE congratulations for Iris & her amazing handler, Nickole! 😁

Iris was our FIRST service dog AND our first AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy & AKC CGC graduate 🤩
They don’t plan to stop here. Nickole is very passionate for her pup & plans to continue her training. We’re so proud of them! We definitely see all the hard work she has put in for Iris.

‼️‼️‼️Jay has done it again. He just doesn’t stop!! Can we please congratulate Jay as he is now a certified AKC Fit Dog Instructor 💕

What does this mean for A&O? We will now offer a fun & interactive way to get fit with your dogs!! If we get enough clientele, we will offer group classes at a park where we will be playing music all while having fun through fitness and obedience! 🤩 it will not be strenuous to a human‼️

We can also do one on one if you’d prefer to not be with a class. It will be ran the same way but without the group ☺️

Can we all please give Dobby & his owner a big congratulations?!

Dobby has officially passed his Puppy - Basic Training package!

Dobby has made amazing progression! As mentioned before, he used to be a very fast door dasher but his owner is now able to leave the door open and do things without him darting out!! Dobby won’t even leave his home premises without owner’s approval.

Every client has different wants and needs in their dog and we strive to meet them with the best of our ability! Our clients happiness is always our #1 priority.

Everybody meet Iris with Hitesman !
She is our FIRST service dog prospect. While we don’t offer task training, we do offer obedience skills and certain foundation skills through our obedience packages.

She’s a very young puppy and so far, she’s taking the training plan head on! Her handler/owner is playing a big role by doing training as much as possible and it’s really showing. This is really exciting for us and our pleasure to be part of this amazing process! ☺️

Hey guys! Meet Dobby ☺️
When we first met Dobby, he was a door darter with little door manners. His amazing family wants Dobby to have off-leash obedience. Usually when we do off-leash obedience, we start with the basics & work our way up but, for the safety of Dobby, we decided to attack the weaknesses first.

Within the THIRD session, Dobby had already learned recall & door manners. He is such a smart puppy. Dobby’s family wants nothing but the best for him and their passion truly shows.

Here’s some pics of Dobby being able to hang out with the kids outside without running away (even to his best friends in the surrounding area). We’re so proud of his ongoing training process & can’t wait to see how he grows/matures. 💕

One month progress on our board & train, Lucy‼️ Within her first month we have seen some BIG progress. When we first started, she has big lack of focus but now, we can successfully make it through a small obedience routine. Throughout this month, her biggest points were bite work and foundation of all things we would ask of her in obedience. Remember Lucy? Our board & train, ppd prospect. Well, she’s doing great. Here’s a clip of her getting up in position for grooming. Grooming is a key aspect of our training plan. Before we start any session for her, we start with grooming. This is on session one of learning this position & she is already grasping the concept!
