🌸 🌼 🌻 🐶 🐕 🦮 🐕‍🦺

Folks in the Wildflower community in Temple know that having your dog walked for a mid-day potty break by a professional pet sitter can provide numerous benefits for both you and your furry friend. Here are some of the top advantages:

Improved physical health: Regular walks can help keep your dog in good physical shape, maintaining healthy weight, improving their cardiovascular health, and promoting strong muscles and bones.

Better mental well-being: Dogs need mental stimulation and interaction to keep them happy and emotionally stable. A mid-day walk can help reduce their anxiety, boredom, and loneliness while also providing them with safe socialization opportunities.

Reduced accidents: A mid-day walk can help reduce the chances of your dog having accidents in your home. Professional pet sitters are experienced and trained in handling dogs, so they can make sure your dog gets the necessary exercise and potty break without any mishaps.

Increased security: Having a professional pet sitter visit your home during the day can provide an extra layer of security, deterring burglars or intruders, and keeping an eye on your home while you are away.

Peace of mind: Knowing that your furry kiddo is taken care of and happy can give you peace of mind during your busy day, enabling you to focus on your work or other tasks without worrying about your dog's needs.

🐶🐱 Pet owners! You know how much your furry family members mean to you. You want to make sure that they receive the best care and attention possible when you're away. Whether it's for work or leisure, there are two primary options when it comes to pet care -utilizing a professional pet sitter or boarding your pet. Here are some things to consider:

🐾 Comfort and Familiarity

Boarding facilities can be stressful for pets. They are in an unfamiliar environment and surrounded by unfamiliar animals, smells, and noises. This can lead to anxiety, stress, and even illness. Utilizing a professional pet sitter, on the other hand, allows your pet to stay in the comfort of their own home. They are surrounded by familiar sights, sounds, and smells, which can keep them at ease.
Pro sitters can stick to your pet's routine, including feeding schedules, exercise routines, and any other special requests.

🐾 Personalized Attention

Boarding facilities often have many pets to care for at once. This can make it challenging for staff to provide personalized attention to each pet. With a professional pet sitter, your pet receives one-on-one attention and care. The pet sitter can give your pet the attention they need, including playtime, snuggles, and cuddles.

Additionally, if your pet has any special needs or requirements, a professional pet sitter can accommodate them. This can include medication administration, specialized diets, or anything else your fur kid may need.

🐾 Reduced Risk of Illness

Boarding facilities can be a breeding ground for illness. With so many pets in one place, it's easy for illnesses to spread. Additionally, pets can be stressed, which can weaken their immune systems and make them more susceptible to illness.

By utilizing a professional pet sitter, your pet is not exposed to other animals, reducing the risk of illness. If your pet does become ill, a professional pet sitter can quickly recognize the signs and seek veterinary care if needed.

🐾 Peace of Mind

When you utilize a professional pet sitter, you have peace of mind knowing that your pet is receiving the best care possible. You don't have to worry, as many professional pet sitters provide daily updates, including pictures and videos, so you can see how your pet is doing while you're away.

In short, weigh the pros and cons to decide what's best for your family. We're here if you'd like to explore a viable alternative to boarding. 🤩

Pet sitters save animal lives… often in subtle and surprising ways.

When Beth Bowers of PawZitive Empowerment Academy conducted class for Pet CPR/First Aid Certification at the Texas Pet Sitters Association conference, a huge takeaway for us was that one of the most important steps in First Aid is to prevent emergencies from occurring. Being proactive is key.

The long time pet sitter for our very own beloved Levi mentioned noticing a lump on his tail was getting bigger. The lump had been there for some time; the vet previously said it was nothing. The vet had even seen him recently and didn’t notice a change. We didn’t notice a change either - it’s easy to miss when you see your fur baby everyday. Sure enough, it was growing. Quickly.

Upon examination and a fine needle aspiration, Levi’s lump was confirmed to be a mast cell tumor and because of early intervention, surgery and a treatment plan are underway. More on the lump saga and the fight advocating to keep Levi’s tail attached to his body to come…

But for now, please rest assured knowing our sitters are trained to conduct snout-to-tail assessments with every visit. If we notice something, you’ll be notified via your visit report on our app. Documentation is so helpful, and might be the first step in life, or quality of life saving measures. 🙏🏻🐕💕
